Well done @robertkc , a cracking song. Thank you to everyone who took part and for running this, it was my first entry into a competition/challenge and I had a lot of fun. When's the next one?

Thank you to the Academy of Kitcheners!!  Its encouraging that a folkie song is appreciated here. 
A brief nod to the Brit. comedy show Detectorists whose crafty magpie gave me the idea for the song.

I'd have to say that this was the toughest challenge I've seen.....particularly for voting. 

Major congrats to you @robertkc ....you definitely  were a clear winner. That log jam at second place between @Layerson @oorlab and @Mar T.  was definitely reflected in my voting but every single song in the competition was excellent!

Thanks in particular to you @DonMar for letting me have a shot at those excellent lyrics.

Once again, everyone who entered is a winner in my estimation.
