Thank you to the Academy of Kitcheners!!  Its encouraging that a folkie song is appreciated here. 
A brief nod to the Brit. comedy show Detectorists whose crafty magpie gave me the idea for the song. 
Another thank you to @DonMar  for that magic word list... and to all the excellent songwriters you inspired.

I'd have to say that this was the toughest challenge I've seen.....particularly for voting.  :)

Major congrats to you @robertkc ....you definitely  were a clear winner. That log jam at second place between @Layerson @oorlab and @Mar T.  was definitely reflected in my voting but every single song in the competition was excellent!

Thanks in particular to you @DonMar for letting me have a shot at those excellent lyrics.

Once again, everyone who entered is a winner in my estimation.
