Been working on a song and video for almost a year now, a project and a song that's close to my heart. Acoustic stand up bow-bass or viola would really bring this one together. I can share it, if anyone is interested let me know. Thank you!

@GaryHynes  - I know @Pleudoniem plays stand up bass. I do a bit of violin, bu no viola... will keep my eyes open though, if I stumble upon a viola player

Hi @oorlab Thanks for the shout. Calling @Pleudoniem ... maybe we could talk if you are interested?

Hi @GaryHynes , sure. I'd be interested to hear what your idea is.

Thanks for your response and interest. I have attached the piece of music and some details below.

I am wanting bass (ideally bass with a bow) to come in from the 2nd verse,  at 2:54. Keeping it low-key and on the low-register initially.
(I currently have a synth part coming in here too, but this will be taken out in the final mix.)
From there the song builds gradually and there is a "lift" on the 3rd verse at 4:34. You will get a feel for it, following the mood of the fiddle and the song in general.
The song peaks at 5:37 which is the last chorus, things are in full flow here, and then there is a final verse where everything settles down to close.

Key is C#m, but I am tuned down to 432h, hope that is okay.

Let me know what you think and if you can work with it.

Thank you!

Hi @Pleudoniem I am having some trouble uploading the song here. Attachment works but post wont post.

Would you mind sending me your email?
