Think this is as far as I'll get, no dramatic changes compared to the previous version.
Still not happy with the sound of the guitar but apart from that I think I achieved most of what I set out to do i.e. "open up" the mix and add some "shimmer".
The orchestral part may be a bit over the top but I love it  ;D

Hey @Jambrains and @CrystalSuzy , what an impressive piece of work. The song in the way it has been performed and mixed is slightly evocative of 60's Simon & Garfunkel.

It is an intriguing piece throughout, with good changes in the dynamic structure which retains interest throughout. The layers of sound are so well separated, yet merge together so well too. But I guess that is what great mixing is all about.

I am not technically expert enough to give any pointers of the subtleties of the mix, but just as an ordinary listener who just so happens to write songs now and then, well it is all really wonderful! Good job guys!
If you like novels with a musical theme, why not try 'Sixth Beatle - When Music Changed The World', easily found on Amazon and Google. It is amazing, although as the author I may be biased!

Here, here! Beautiful job!   ::thumb::
Songwriter, Keyboards, Arranger, Producer & Engineer for November Sound

November Sound is based on the Mother, Father & Son musical trio of Melissa, Bill & Will. I'm the father so anything I post will have my wife singing and/or my son playing percussion.

It sounds awesome JB!  You've certainly done what you set out to do and I also love the over the top brass part ::trumpet:: Thank you so much for doing this remix  ::Suzy::

Good mix @Jambrains .........definitely loving these vocals. I also like where you have the percussion.

That orchestration sounds great to me...not over the top at all, just right out there where it should be.

I actually just really enjoyed listening......that is a sign a of a good mix, as I sometimes get way too critical.  ;)

Really nice song @CrystalSuzy ...deinitely agree with @MichaelA about a 60's feeling. I am feeling some of two relatively obscure acts from back then......The Cyrcle and The Association.
