Thanks @man of simple pleasures (btw, you're in the radio channel with a few songs as well !!). In the process of adding @Bill from November Sound 's jingle to the station.. It will pop up randomly about 1x per 55 songs played  ;) ;)

Any more jingles are welcome!! Let us know kitcheners, reply and post your jingle!!

For everybody else: we have approx 55 tracks playing randomly (at any time) when you start the kitchen radio (the radio icon below every page on our forum (Click it and be amazed of what you hear!!)).

:pompom: ATTENTION!! You can request to submit one of your tracks to the kitchen radio playlist  :pompom:

But you'll need a post count of 25 and a karma value of 25 at least. AND your song has to be reviewed in the 'Songs for Review' section of the forum. For the more regular members: every 25 posts/25 karma counts adds the 'right' to add a new track to the radio.

If you meet the basic requirements (which may change overtime) plz reply to this post and I'll add your track to the Kitchen Radio!!
Btw we need loooooaaaads more tracks!!

Cheers!!

Mar T.

reins on paying for publishing someone else’s work will be tightened.

That might well be the case - at least in the EU. Parliament voted last week in that direction.

wise to only do originals on Kitchen radio.
Agreed - though the liability will not be with the kitchen but soundcloud & the original poster...

if the storm quiets down or that there are serious things to take care of.
looking for ways to value the work of creative folks, by copyright or other ways, is an ongoing process. Gone are the days we had to go to the castle or palace to do an audition - but the market is not totally free. Some would say - totally not free... ::)

It's a little farfetched @oorlab to go on an in depth piece about liability, perhaps.
Specially as it tends to differ from country to country. But many countries have laws that run along the same veins.
In NL (Nieuw Burgerlijk Wetboek 1992) there's a clause that is called 'Hulppersonen'. After reading this, you will be in line with the Law. And my rant.

Summary:
If you (we in this case) make use of someone else's services, we are liable in this other person's place.
If there's a possibility of legal redress is something the law isn't concerned with.

A sort of one stop liability.

It is not quite safe to assume the Kitchen will not be held liable. Hence my sort of light rant and rave on this topic.
Kind regards, Gus

Friends,
My posting a jingle (jungle says the Apple Mafia) has gone MIA.

Unless there's a conspiracy. The jingle conspiracy.
Sounds like a new song to me.

Anyhow:

My effort. I'm totally OK if you refuse to use it.

Kind regards, Gus

Thanks for your follow up on this. I am pretty sure that the kitchen radio will not be liable - like radio stations as NPO3  or BBC1 were not liable when playing 'Blurred Lines'.

Hey @LePlongeur and @oorlab , thanks for thinking along! I'm more in a kind of 'reactive'  mode. Should someone/some organisation want us to remove a track (whicht causes legal problems) from the playlist I will do just that.. Tbh I don't think we have to worry too much about this. Good point is that we should only accept original songs to be played on the radio.
Ok?

Cheers!

Hey Gus @LePlongeur ,

The technical term for those little announcements between songs is actually ‚sweepers‘ not ‚jingles‘. A ‚jingle‘ is kind of an acoustoc logo (which can be a part of a ‚sweeper‘).
[smart-arse mode off]

Your idea sounds good to me, though I couldn‘t understand the beginning... :) But I think it‘s too long. Can you boil it down to a tight and crisp length of let‘s say 10 seconds at most?

We need more of those ‚sweepers‘ kitcheners!

I‘ll try and make some myself, as soon as I have the time. I am terribly busy at the moment...

Cheers,
Mark

Ohh!! Wow! The kitchen radio idea is alive... and it's sounding fantastic!! :D <3
