Dutchbeat Applause Collaboration - Final Mix Here...

Hi everyone, the Applause Tribute for Dutchbeat is now complete. Follow the link at the bottom of this post to hear it. One or two of you may need a tissue!

Some members didn’t feel ready to join in at this point. We can all obviously respect that.

Please forgive me if you can’t hear yourself over all the noise, but this is what happens in crowds! It was a difficult mix and some of your details just blend in to the general racket. But hey, you’ve all got ‘I Was There’ symbolic badges 😀 👍

We also have a genuine Dutch thunderstorm and the sound of hailstorm on a window. This was recorded by Oorlab who said he thought of it as the Gods applauding Dutchbeat. It fits so well.

There is also musical accompaniment at the start and end of the track. You may recognise the suppliers of this music, which they were happy to supply. But, in the sad circumstances, they specifically asked not to be credited here or mentioned in the thread.

When I listen to the track I imagine it is almost like Dutchbeat being driven past us in some sort of carnival procession and we are all lining the streets clapping and cheering.

I'm sure Dutchbeat would love this. Thanks to all contributors and especially to MichaelA for this great work. I love it and for me it helps to keep Dutch in my heart.

As all these wonderful, emotional  submissions came in I couldn’t help wondering how many of us would inspire such an enthusiastic expression of support when we depart? Not me, I thought, for sure. That’s when you realise some people are truly special. Dutchbeat was one of those people. Truly blessed and a blessing to us all!

This is sooo beautiful @MichaelA , I broke into tears when heard the results this afternoon, which you sent me to upload to the kitchen SC page. I'll find some more words for this. But for now I want you to know that DB would have loved this, and it is done sooo tastefully and so many people cooperated (thank you everybody!!). Thank you my friend, for making this possible!!
