Hi all,

I restyled the Recently Updated Topics on the board index (in the 'Info Center' section on the bottom of the main forum page).

Please hit <ctrl><F5> to refresh your browser cache when that section is a mess (not a bad idea at all even when it's not a mess).

Although you all might have gotten used to the former layout, that was a mess and was still on my to-do list. I restyled it to fit into a table with proper column width and column headers.
I gave new topics a bolder text-weight, so new topics get noticed easier, and get some attention as well.

It might take some time to get used to, please give it some time. After that please let me know when all kinds of details can be improved...
I hope you enjoy it.

Cheers!
:mart:

Looking good @Mar T. !
Very clearly arranged information, much better than before. You never tire improving things in the background, do you? Thanks for that! ;D

i am a slow adopter.....a very slow adopter of new things

@Mar T. on the other hand is a.....out-of-control-"change is good"-let's-try-it-all, crazy innovator
that nevers seems to get a good night's sleep  ;D ;D ;D

but......after having navigated on the new format of the list of recently updated topics

i can handle it.... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
hey, it may even have some merits....
 ;D ;D ;D ::thumb:: ::thumb:: ::thumb:: ::thumb::
but @Marti  ;D ;D ;D ;D, calm down...you really need...a time out....or a Bootcamp...to get your mind cleared

Thanks guys, I hope everybody likes it, @Dutchbeat I promise you'll get used to it in a matter of days. Even I must get used to it myself, but how the list was arranged before really was chaos haha.
And yes we need a bootcamp, I'll teach you about managed-change! Haha!!

The section is looking good and ordered and it gives an even more clear and effective summary.
I like it a lot this way :)

Thanks @Rachel_D , great to hear you like it!

All: I've been tweaking a little bit, I added board colors to the forum, so a few boards have different colors. I also reflected that in the Recent Topics.
Finally I added functionality every table-row of the recent topics will light up 'light blue' when you hover over it with your mouse (see picture above). That should make it easier to view what's on that row.
For that an extra ctrl-F5 will be needed, so your browsers will load the new (changed) files.
So please ctrl-F5 everybody!

Cheers! :mhm:

There was a small styling issue with the Recent Topics, so I made a change to the Recent Topics table again. Since all your browsers cache the stylesheet of the site, please press <ctrl><f5> again for windows users (and whatever that'll be on a mac). The first row should then have a grey background and the hovering of the mouse showing a blue row will only happen from the 2nd line in the 'table'..
Yes, I'm a perfectionist, but a lot of songwriters seem to be perfectionists haha.
In short: press Ctrl-F5 please!

There's a topic for discussion!

I am not a perfectionist. In fact, songwriting is a bit like throwing darts to me. I don't really aim........I just keep throwing them and every once in a while one hits home.

ha @Leonard Scaper yes, interesting topic, but you may be referring to how you come up with a song, so the writing of the song. In the recording and mixing phases you may be more of a perfectionist and tweaker???

Good point there @Dutchbeat ....even then, though, I tend to commit to what I am feeling at the moment rather than tweak endlessly. I have found over the years that the more I tweak....the more I tweak...and perfection gets no closer.

Have you ever stripped down a mix in frustration only to find that the raw mix sounded better than the version you just spent a week on?  ;)
