just heard this line from an English-tv-show, somewhere (cough, cough..via youtube  ::)), and thought that was a very funny:

"basically, Boris Johnson is just Donald Trump, with his hair turned backwards"

just the idea of someone having a worse hairdo than Trump works for me  ::thumb:: ::thumb::  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

by now, there must be an enormous amount of great Brexit-related jokes around.... ;D ;D ;D

There's so many jokes been made, and the nature of the jokes has changed as more and more ridiculous details have emerged...probably easiest if I leave this here:

Canadians are far too complacent to build a wall, and besides some of our favorite people here in Powell River, Lund, were draft dodgers   ::thumb:: ::Suzy::

Hahahahahahahaha

So, being a brit myself (along with alice), would it be fair to say that most of you guys feel that the brexit is a really really bad idea?

Whats the general feeling around the world about it? Because here we only really get the UK media viewpoint

@jameshargreaves of course I cannot give the general opinion, but I can give my personal one.. I think it's not smart to ask the people to vote for a stay or exit... after all one votes for representatives that decide about complex matter like this to do that for you. But that was not the case here. I understand the British people voted against the EU (being nationalistic, nothing wrong with that). But they were shocked a little bit that the consequense was actually leaving the EU? For me personal I'm really curious about what this really means for the UK. I believe the better economies (like UK's) pay a lot to the EU and I doubt if it gives enough return on investment. So if the UK gets out of this better then when they stay maybe more richer economies will follow this move? We'll see if it comes to a Nexit then.. haha does that help?

@MartiMedia - yeah the country here is completely divided on the brexit question. Theres alot of people very happy and alot of people bitterly angry about it. For my part, Im just going to watch and see what happens. I dont think we have enough information yet to really decide whether the result of the referendum was good or not. Personally I think the UK economy is strong enough to withstand the brexit vote - it will hurt business, but because we're the first country to exit in this way, its still uncharted waters - no-one knows whats going to happen next. Who knows!
