Hi Fischermans, well....what do i think...

i think it is ridiculously GREAT songwriting, i really like your songs, as in: i think they all are really special, made of concrete, they stick out, they stand up

but, in this case, i would just chop the guitar only intro, totally, start with singing, and the music from there is great, but then i would add female backing vocals on your choruses.....make it extremely BIG....and really, i think your songs can have very synthy, modern versus retro but very electronic and computerized arangments

your singing melodies and how they develop are really SUPER...really great work
you (and so do I, don't get me wrong) have an accent, in your case German, in my case Dutch, and in an extremely synthesizer arrangment with some retro synth sound that will work for you, not against you, in a more acoustic ballad setting that will probably will work against you
i think
but hey i am Dutch, but this is, in my opinion where you should go...to very techno, heavy synths, and full arrangments, i am also thinking horns and trumpets, and staccato semi low synth sequenzer running through, like in the eighties but in a very modern new sound surrounding
and with much better songs

because you really sort of, in my perception...i know this is weird, but since we are here in the Kitchen...in my mind, i hear a sort of combination of a German Frank Sinatra, which can handle strings and trumpets, big gestures easily behind him....but combined with highly tight midi clicked synths and sequenzer lines and a almost drum machine 80's sounding drumbeat, yet with more jazzy drumrolls and accents and cymbals etc.

and yes, this is meant to explain where i hear the arrangments of your songs should go, i really think that would be where you would have the best sounds for your songs and how you sing

i hope i can let everybody hear what i am trying to say, i am working on making an arrangment of "If" from Fishermans, and i am serious about trying to make it sounds like that, very computerized, yet very songwriter, very Fisherman's

i talk too much, all i wnated to say: great music, great music, Fisherman's
me, myself, and Pie
