Another cover - trio this time
on: November 03, 2020, 22:48:16

 :)   :ok:

Is this one better @LePlongeur  ?    :D

This is part of our original & acoustic shared performance series live at our local vineyard. We host these events ( that used to be open mics) outdoors for songwriters and acoustic performers ... people doing stuff off the beaten path ... you know?
I video record every act and try to help people get a foot in the door.
That's something my local scene really needs.
It's tough out there.
Melissa and I have been very fortunate this season but it took many years of consistent effort to get here.

Songwriter, Keyboards, Arranger, Producer & Engineer for November Sound

Not currently posting music here but we're easy to find if you care to listen. November Sound will happily listen, follow, like, subscribe and repost for people who do the same. We get a lot of spam so let us know you're from the kitchen!

I've been called a bragger in the Kitchen. I've been warned of my humor towards French people, while being 1/4 french myself. And now, all of a sudden, I am the tempo police. Wonder what they think of next.

The best jazz is done in a way that seems effortless. Almost as if I could climb the stage and join. That is (with the exception of drums) absolutely not the case.

The other recording from the Wineyard, I saw you struggle with the tempo and your accuracy suffered as a result. It's not irritation in NL, but I think both you and Melissa deserve better.
I am sure you don't play for the public alone, and that's including me. So my opinion can't be that important. But since you asked, yes... I like this one a lot better. A lot more swinging. You got your own fingers back instead of the woody fingers.

A pity I wasn't there. Maybe I should learn to speak English and visit the Vineyard when you gig there.
Thank you for posting.
Kind regards, Gus
