Pretty good blues there......if I was in the studio I would have been looking for a C harp to jam along with you.

Good luck at the session.

Hi @Kajetan Zduniak

How did your blues jam go? Nothing beats playing with other people especially on a blues jam. It's a great way to build confidence and your own playing style.

You've got some nice licks on your playing and I like how you switch between fingers and pick as well.

That's a great video @Leonard Scaper - some great players there. Albert King has such a great cutting sound and SRV is a force of nature.

Some great players there @Kajetan Zduniak and as you can see (and hear) they stick to one area of the neck when they solo - get a lot of feeling out of a few notes without trying to be too quick and be constantly up and down the neck like a shredder would.

Nothing wrong with any approach of course it's up to the player but these guys know the blues and if you just listen to the early stuff of the 3 Kings (BB, Albert and Freddie) you'll learn loads.

cheers

@Kajetan Zduniak .....maybe one day we'll get to jam. You never know, my friend.  :)

WRT that video I posted....near the end Riley (Blues Boy) King introduces a hot harp player named Paul Butterfield along with a New Orleans piano guy named Mac Rebennack. He, of course, introduced the piano guy as Dr. John. Dr. John passed away just last week.

@LePlongeur .......I know you are familiar with Dr. John the Night Tripper.

Yes I am familiar with Dr. John's music.
I will post an obscure thing in the café, if you don't mind @Leonard Scaper
I love his Gris Gris (and all that came before that) best.
He will be sorely missed I'm afraid.
Thanks for mentioning him. As long as somebody mentions his name, he's still around.
Kind regards. Gus
