Thank you, Big S
« on: March 13, 2018, 00:02:10 »
Eeek.

Completely in awe and inspired by the Mighty Scaper, I have been REALLY brave. I've never done this. Ever. I mean, I've made a video, like, but not one of me singing. Ever.

I know the sound quality is more than iffy, so forgive that. It's best heard through headphones I think.

This song is called 'Home'. And I dedicate this frightful(ly brave) performance to the man himself. Thank you for all you do for us and for encouraging us with our music, Big S. You are treasured.

@Nic ! How are you?
Wow what a surprise, to be able to see you 'experience' performing a song.. And how beautiful that looks, and sounds..
Chapeau... thanks so much for sharing your talent with us!
Oh @Leonard Scaper , and you must feel honoured!!
Love,
:mart:

'Ever. I mean, I've made a video, like, but not one of me singing.'

Well, if this isn't an extremely positive song, I really don't know what is. Great thought @Nic !!!
And Thank You for doing what I should have done.

I like it very very much. I'd remove the like and ask @Mar T. to join the competition. I think you will be amazed of the votes you'll get.
Hey, what am I doing here. Encouraging the competition? I must be crazy!
OK, I love it. The word left my lips.
I'm not even sorry.
Kind regards, Gus

Nice one @Nic ....

A few words sprang into my head as I was reading this post of yours so I wrote them down ...

Just a little step

A step in the dark and you don't fall.
So you take another and that seems right.
To move out of the night and into the light.

Hi @Nic, well this is very lovely - as usual, well done for going live on us - and so confidently performed too.  ::thumb::

I noticed you have a lava lamp though and you really could have used this to make an amazing light show to illuminate your video, as the production values were pretty basic. Just a little tip there for the future, dearie!  ;)
If you like novels with a musical theme, why not try 'Sixth Beatle - When Music Changed The World', easily found on Amazon and Google. It is amazing, although as the author I may be biased!

It’s gone!! But I did catch it first. Lovely to see you ‘in person’. Loved the little wave and of course the song and performance. I’d never be that brave myself but I shall still encourage you to do more of it!! Really enjoyed it @Nic!

Thank you, @MichaelA . Yeah, I don't intend to make a habit of this (in fact, the song has come down already, which is typical of me. Only brave for so long - like a day).

Hi @Nic, you shouldn't say things like that as you are a very charming and mesmerising performer. The two things don't necessarily go together, I know - I mean musical creativity and performance skills - but I thought you had cracked it with this one. You just lost yourself in your music on screen, Reminded me - in a more gentle way - of what Florence of Machine fame does. She just becomes the music, and you did that in your video, and maybe - if you are feeling a bit vulnerable about performance - you should just come on, say hello (as you did) then sink into that performance, your sanctuary, because once sunk deep into the emotions of your music the audience can become irrelevant to you. You become in the music. Lost in that and nothing can distract or hurt you!

So many people comment that you are creating something profound - so now you just have to believe it. But take the beauty of these song creations to be your friends. So when you go on stage or on video, you know you can escape deep into their refuge - and then, my dear, we will all be transfixed. Honestly! It is all really lovely! ;)
