A very personal one (for the Dutchies)

What's up in here?
Just came on in between work to post this one.
I need to take it of my chest.

It is in Dutch however (well, actually in West-Flemish, but I'll 'translate' into Dutch (so the rhyme and rythm from the original will be a bit off...)).
As the Dutchies probably will read in it: it's a rough week.

Deze tekst raakte me heel diep, sorry dat je dit hebt moeten meemaken.. Ik vind dat je de woorden prachtig gekozen hebt, het grote plaatje komt hard binnen, en juist de details die je beschrijft maken de impact van het contrast 'verlangen naar'/'de enorme teleurstelling' benauwend groot. Als kunstvorm kreeg ik kippenvel hiervan. Maar als mens wens ik de hoofdpersoon heel veel sterkte toe.. Ik hoop dat het niet autobiografisch is?

I’m the one with his heart on his sleeve, but i’ve never ever before read a more moving and personal one as this one.
I know enough of Flemish to have started on that one, but (Dutch) to be on the safe side I read the translation too.

I can’t say very much about it for being afraid of not being subtle enough, but I really hope that by writing these lyrics, and publishing it, it lifts some weight off your shoulders. All I can do is hope that there are loved ones around you to help you carry this.

Keep the faith, because no matter what everyone says, at the end of the day you’re the one having to cope with it.
I wish you lots and lots of strength.

Thx guys. I'm gonna be okay. Not quite yet, but I'm getting there.
I do feel like, because of the intense emotions and perhaps also the language choice, these really are my most 'naked' lyrics to date.
But not many forummers will understand any of it ;-)

Posting it on here (and singing it) did help a bit.
Guess I kinda forgot how therapeutic music can be.

@siennalittle so sorry for your loss. Glad to see that you could turn to music. It's a gift at times like this I think..

Of course I can't understand the lyrics @siennalittle , but from the responses of those that can, I can imagine your pain and I'm so sorry for your loss
Really nice to see you around in the Kitchen again though, even under such sad times for you    I hope we'll hear more of your lovely music asap
