This is an incredibly eclectic and artistic piece of music from the heart. The bare bones almost spoken word nature of this does give a a tribal and primitive character and I see that as a strength rather than a weakness.

You really have something special going on here in my opinion and you should experiment with other ways of expressing it. The string bending idea might be right....I'll bet you can come up with other things as well.

Your music brings another excellent dimension here to The Kitchen....there is nothing else quite like it. I hope to hear more and I heartily encourage other Kitcheneers to check this out.

hey Leonard, thanks so much for giving this a listen, your one of the first, video not listed
till I get this figured out. I`m trying a few things, what I didn`t want to do  is get people listening for whats coming
wanted them to listen to this, why I kept it so tribal" I think anything I put in here will have to be very suttle" and very lean.
tried the guitar..nope, I`m going to try flute in some spots.. I`ll get some good ideas and see if I can`t fix this up a bit. thanks again  for taking time to listen and comment...

maybe a flute somewhere in the background, some reverb, or maybe echo...

if you want i could try to send or add some synthesizer arp thingy.....i think it could be nice to add a pretty staccato sythy bass to this

sure Duchbeat, then we can see what others think here.  what do you need from me, I can send a file with vocal, and a file without
maybe want to do both incase we/others like it, and we  find a  singer thats not  as brutal in the song as me....lol
maybe just one file to test the waters..
thanks for taking time to listen...let me know what I can do...Lane

hey @Lane this is a cool idea, for sure!

If you are looking for collaborators I think @Dutchbeat is the man! .... you also should talk to @iiviivix ...he's a great rapper, or maybe even @Dakoda .... he could really add a modern sound .. I don't know if he does collabs, @TheMobRapper is always working on collaborations and such,  Will ( my son/ drummer/ percussionist could maybe put in that real Djembe solo or something to keep that tribal feel....)
@Leonard Scaper , @Jim , @smajor  can be really helpful with editing/ finishing up the lyrics!

There's a lot of talent around here. I know I missed quite a few .... see if you put @person'sname it'll notify them  :)   to come check it out!  :)

Hi there,

I think those lyrics work really well they way they are...you don't want to give it all on a plate.   ;)

And the delivery works well too, the spoken word approach works for this (IMHO).  The beat and other aspects remind me of Human Behaviour by Bjork:

That's mostly pitched beats and a bassline besides the (excellent) vocals...maybe that approach would work here?
