Shake That Thing (WIP - Delta Blues Idea)

Well perhaps I see a hint of musical snowdrops out of the cold earth ? ... LOL

I was retuning my guitar and inadvertently put it into open D. I'm not a slide player but I was noodling about and this partial lyrical idea popped out just now. It might be worth pursuing as I can hear a jug and broomstick bass in my head now in addition to slide guitar ... lol

This reminds me of uptempo blues song. I could hear and feel the mood of the song in my head. Great job.

At the time @MrBouzouki  posted this I was traveling, so I'm afraid I missed it.

As you may remember MrB, my electric guitars are always in open D, so it's really easy for me to see where it might be going.  At this moment I have another approach under construction, but if no other adventurous Kitchener pops up I would like to give it a try. If it is a collab you are looking for....

If it's not and you want to do the musical part too, I hope you will. I think the words have all the bluesy qualities. It doesn't have to be a blues if you ask me. I'm patient enough to wait and see where this will take you. Or maybe you'll take it.

Re-reading the lyrics it's not quite finished yet. The story arc isn't quite complete.

I definitely thought blues and a delta blues stripped down affair at that.  Basic acoustic with a rough raw edge and as I said before, washtub bass and simple percussion. Maybe some harmonica.

I've been a tad busy of late and just recently a bit 'under-the-weather' so I'm not as active musically as I'd like to be.

I know all there is to know about the crying game. Ehmmmmm.... the lack of time, @MrBouzouki .
So my idea? If you have lack of time, I would stop being busy with the same thing more than once.

The guy who wrote 'Wild thing', also wrote God fuck the perfect people. This is certainly not my wish for you, of course not. But why do you want to be perfect? Perfect is very very boring.
Being you is good enough.

I like this a lot and I will not lose/loose (I'll never understand) it again.

The lyrics definately evoke the style. I play some slide and drop D works well.
