The Brighter Side Of Living

Well what do you know?
I’ve got a terrible crush on a beautiful woman.
I may never get a chance to ask her out.
I will do that if I do get chance.
Until then I’ll be in a swoon, Imagination working overtime, it’s hard to stop fantasizing scenarios.
She’s incredible, but I don’t really know her. Lol.
 it’s exhausting.
I wrote this song in an effort to alleviate this suffering.




    The Brighter Side Of Living


I have never seen
anyone more deserving
   I’ve never felt more
      inclined to be forgiving
         If you don’t have the time
           then please take mine
              to the brighter side
                  of living

you seem to vanish
just as fast as you appear
     and in this vacuum I
 can neither see nor hear
   now left behind you

         and this is most unfair

the night draws in a heavy curtain
      of history and doubt
I cannot sing oh, so what the hell?
         this is how

a masterpiece unwritten
   you understand I’m 1 whole
         mess of division

              really isn’t

the lives I’ve dreamt as a tapestry
   of misery unfolds

Great set of lyrics. Having listened to a lot of your material I can already hear you singing this........can't wait to see how close my imagining came to the real thing.

I only see her at work and then very briefly. She’s been so sweet to me. I knew I’d get a terrible crush. Now not seeing her is just exhausting. If I get no closure on this I’ll be buggered.

This will take some time before presentable. This one is directly inspired by her, I at least wanted to show the lyrics and then listen to a demo.

I’ve heard not all women are the same. I can imagine there’re dos n don’ts I’m oblivious to.

Please elaborate on why I shouldn’t present this.

P. S. The steps, yes, sometimes I go to great effort with a song, details become important.

It’s quite jazzy, a real challenge for me.
