Ive finally Finished the music for this
I wrote it several years ago

Feedback very welcome

To Suffer Quietly

Standing in the hall with his sword and his shield
Trying to recall his glory in the field
He sees that peace is not all it is said to be
And he's learning now to suffer quietly

Friendship, sweat n' blood, there was a mortal fear
It was brotherly love  and without a single tear
Oh, the angel of death  you could hear her wings
Right now there seems to be no real need for anything

I could wish nothing more vile on my closest enemy
Than to turn back, recover his tracks and to suffer quietly

Slave to the mundane such as no other animal
Deluded he lays claim to the incompatible
Haunted by the facts, confronted in his shame
It's a  life on the run through a carnival of pain

Coerced by the wily fools that he must serve
Do harm unto your neighbor, plunder the earth
N' With no other option than to guard his patch
And Orpheus , he gave word there's no looking back

There is no comfort to be found in abject misery
n' Forever is a very long time to while away cowardly

I could wish nothing more vile on my closest enemy
Than to turn back, recover his tracks and to suffer quietly

A vivid excerpt from spiritual constitution of the presented  story actor.
It's reads as there is more, like another chapter that will narrowed next after this.
It just came in my mind,  to ask you @Rightly  if you ever wrote  ( short-) stories,  a roman or something like that? And if not, why not?  :D

When I was young, handsome and clueless I couldnít shake off the notion that in a way all of my experience was fictional. I think I was fairly, well, really  honest with myself and quiet around others.

Friends have often said I should write stories. I did once start writing a story of an eventful day with a girlfriend. Reflections and loosely associated themes ran throughout. We went  canooing (how do you spell that).
A girlfriend of a good friend loved it, and previously stand-offish she really warmed to me. Since then weíve been friends. So the writing was a success.

Thing is, I learnt how difficult it can be to write something good enough, even if Iím the only judge. It can be really exhausting.
I think Iíd become good at it if I invested enough.
The idea to start is never far away.

Sometimes Iíve come to the conclusion that Iíve a finite amount of creative energy and I should be wary of wasting time with the wrong medium.
Iím a good songwriter, Iím still developing. Iím very hungry to get better.

Still I suspect that Iíll eventually start writing.

I have been thinking of not pushing myself to write songs anymore. To get involved in sport again, maybe boxing, I used to love that as a kid. Writing stories as a counter balance might work.

Hey, Iíve two productions ready, I donít know what to post first.

Either,
Sweet oblivion
Or this one,
To Suffer Quietly

Can you decide?

Right, i agree figuring out with which  things we spend our small lifetime is most important . Creating is for sure one of the best choice  i just believe there could be several things beside others , that we just love to do. not just one single way .
I've no doubts you would do good writings in anyway, I think i would read that ;)

@Mo

I can't answer that. Just do  both maybe? ;D

I fear I couldn't find a  proper approach to 'sweet oblivion' but I do not blame anything other than my insufficient knowledge of English in the the way this was written.
