I love it! Metal is so not my thing, but this is great, the tuning through the radio dial at the start is great and then the beat just takes off!
this is the first time someone has covered one of my songs, I'm so glad you did! great job Micke.
Dakoda.

Wow! You really spun this excellent tune off in a cool new direction. Amazing, really, to hear. I am seriously impressed with this interpretation.
Going to have to listen a few more times........

Yeah @Layerson ..... way out there! You really turned this song into something else! I dig this epic metal style.

Thanks @Leonard Scaper, @Bill from November Sound, @Dutchbeat for all the positive comments, makes me truly happy :)
Making a cover is a fine balance between being creative and staying true to the original version and from what I’ve heard in the finished cover (think I’ve listened to all of them and I’ll probably listen to them again) entries in this challenge it will also be challenging to decide which one to vote for. Such great talent and creativity throughout this forum, I’m amazed ::heart:: ::OSMAN::

Hey @Layerson , this is a rockin cover, I enjoyed it a lot. Wasn’t quite sure where it was going for the first 30 secs then it all became very clear! Very cool crunchy guitars.
I almost covered a @Dakoda song for this competition- was toying with the idea of doing ‘No Pink Princess’ in a hard rock riffing style (I wasn’t really feeling the lyrics though ;D.) Funny that you chose a similar style for your @Dakoda cover ....

OMG, @DanJames , you tease me now ,with this unrealized possibility, what might have been..... :)
(I think you would have gotten away with the lyrics with some tweaks, I mean, your no pink princess , Ha!) ;)
Dakoda
(maybe I should be writing "Hard Rock" "Heavy Metal" songs, hmmmm....)

Nice one @Layerson, that catchy main synth motif from the original really suited the transition to a heavy guitar riff. Plus you've added quite a bit of menace there to the vocal feel - yet the whole thing still bounces along like crazy. Liked it! ::thumb::

Thanks @DanJames, @MichaelA ::heart::
I was so afraid that @Dakoda wouldn’t accept my request for doing a cover because of the little time left in this challenge and it would have been difficult to decide on another song. ???
How the music should sound was very clear for me right away but I also knew that the vocal part was going to be a struggle as I can’t scream and maintain control nor do I have a low voice. So, I did a “Full Lemmy” on the vocals and blend it with a little of my normal voice. I think it sounds like an alien singing but maybe that’s cool too? ;D
I’m doing a lot of drafts at the moment in cooperation with @smajor so there’ll probably be lots of songs posted for review later on, but I felt I needed a break from that so doing a cover was a good learning experience and great fun

Wow, different! ;D
What I find a little pity is that the characteristic riff in the chorus (which quite carries the song for me) is pushed far into the background in your version. But apart from that, very well done. Not really the style I listen to usually, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Godd@÷mmit @Layerson ! What an excellent choice to Rammsteinify @Dakoda 's synthy sound! I loved listening to both versions and a love both. Sooo entertaining to listen to the same song, but from a complete different angle. Chapeau man... enjoooooyed this version a lot!
Cheers!
