Title: Avatars
Post by: Mar T. on April 14, 2019, 18:57:40
Hi everybody,

I noticed not everybody is using an avatar at the moment. Avatars make the boards more colourful, and help our members to be visible/recognizable. You can upload an avatar in your profile. Of course this doesn't have to be a selfie/photo, you can choose any image you want.
Your profile can be found when clicking in the left upper corner (scroll all the way up first) on your username and then select 'Forum profile'.
Then there's your options for selecting/uploading your avatar.

I hope everybody who doesn't use an avatar at the moment, will help us making the forum a bit more colorful..

Thanks in advance, and if you have any questions, please let us know!
Cheers!
Mar T.
:mart:

PS: please do not use 'select avatar from gallery' cause this is a list of avatars all of our members already use.. ;-)

No, really, when I upload the picture it squishes my face. My face isn't that skinny.  :-[

Haha but it looks nice @Bill from November Sound !
I guess the software does this, but maybe you can upload a cut from the rectangle that's perfectly square? I'd bet it stays square then..

I made it a perfect square! Does that look better?  ... if not does it at least look more like me?  :-\

@Chris Spruit taught me how to have an avatar pasted.  I never even knew it was called an avatar before. But I never took the trouble to have one.

My weight is exactly what it should be, but I photoshopped a kilo extra to be in line with the required overweight I see around me.
Specially saunas seem to have a strange attraction for people with 40 kilos too many.

And yes, @Mar T. , it’s a good idea of yours to promote the use of them.
Kind regards, Gus

@Bill from November Sound man, now you look good and real!! (btw, did you gain a few pounds in one day of time?)  ;) Great avatar!! And a chique suit man!!

@LePlongeur thank you my friend, I'm very visually orientated (maybe a lot of creators are).. Anything better than that standard silhouette mock image..  ;) ;)
Love yours!

@Bill from November Sound looks great. True.
@Mar T.
Thank you. The photo was taken when I walked ‘through the sunshine’. A work of art exhibited in Centre Pompidou in France. And it worked too. Even on a cloudy day i could feel the sunshine all around me.
Not too arty, but art with some humor.
I like that. We (in general) tend to take it all far too seriously.
Kind regards, Gus
