Title: This Town
Post by: Jurgen on June 08, 2019, 06:55:53

I wrote a song a few months ago called This Town which is a about domestic violence and how it seemed to be quite prevalent in small Australian country towns a few decades back. These are towns where everyone knows everyone and their business and it seems people turned a blind eye.

This song is about a wife who has had enough and walks down the main street showing her bruises to the towns folk.

I want to record this properly with my band soon - but for now, here's a video from a gig we did last night in Sydney.

I think your sound is missing the bass
A trio like yours needs those fat bass that mix with the drums

hi @Marcus Nalgaber - I can see/hear your point.

We actually started with a bass but I like how our "bass" player also plays guitar and he really enjoys playing the guitar so for now we're going with this unusual 2 guitars and small drum kit.

At times we do miss a bass for sure though. Maybe we'll change or get a bass player in the future.
