Heatwave tips
on: August 08, 2020, 13:37:35
Currently under heatwave conditions here, our national heat wave plan is active.
It tells us:

Measures against sun and heat

"    Sufficient drinking
Thin clothing that offers protection against sunburn
    Use of sunscreen
    Stay in the shade
Limit physical exertion in the afternoon, avoid strenuous activity
Keep your house cool by timely use of curtains, blinds, fan or air conditioning. Keep the windows closed while the room is cooler than it is outside and open windows at night when the air is cooler"

Do you have more tips, specially for music making? How can you reduce heat stress while making music? Guitars with built-in fans? Water-organs?

Nice topic @oorlab !
The few gigs available now here are outside only.
Temperature has been over 90 F ( 33 C )  ... it is hot!
Honestly I still wear the dark clothes so that the sweat won't show! It's very important to LOOK cool.  8)

Yes @Mo     ;D :D

HAHA!

I wonder what @LePlongeur will think of this?

Hey @Dutchbeat could you make this so it says "songwriters" on the top and "in the kitchen" on the bottom?!
 :)

Do you have more tips, specially for music making? How can you reduce heat stress while making music?

Since the overhead fan has to be off and, even worse, the air conditioner needs to be turned off.......it helps to put the beer in the freezer for 20 minutes or so. That ensures that there will be ice crystals in it to soothe the throat for an optimal vocal performance.

"In a world of robotic conformity, the only originality left in music is the imperfections" Eric Craptone

"Special thanks to Steve Gleason for making me who I am today." Leonard Scaper

Yes @Leonard Scaper  ha, ha !!!  ;D    Ice crystals in the beer!!!!!  good play .... of course beer in the freezer can be dangerous ..... so others may not want to try this at home.  :o   You, of course, are a true professional.  8)

Bottom? What bottom?

You know exactly what to think of it @Bill from November Sound
Plus you know that, when pheromones come into play, I don't think. That's the problem; you think too much.

I love it @Mo (thank you) and so do my children. And my children say you don't need to worry. Age-wise I mean.

Kind regards, Gus
