@LePlongeur  - what server in Amsterdam do you mean? Do we actually need our own server for meeting on Zoom (or Microsoft MS Teams - that would work for me too). We could test it in pairs in the coming week

Hi @oorlab.

I'm not Gus, but you won't need a 'server' or any other tools than the mentioned app in the opening post and your regular internet connection.
It's not that complicate :) just similar to last time.

You'll get a link before meeting. You click on that link that lead you  into a virtual  waiting room until the current host of meeting (me this time) will let you in the meeting room.
Thats all  :)

I understood it as @LePlongeur  is  just right now on a trip far from home, so he can't use his regular net connection and need to dial in somewhere else to be online. It isn't related to the meeting. Just that way he maybe will have some trouble to attend or while attending.   8)

I'll join you all if you're still there as soon as I get home from work.

Btw - the vidrros where they show everyone jamming together on zoom are all fake.
They record separately and then put them all together in a multicam box video with the zoom logo.
You cannot all jam at the same time. @budhabuilding and I spent quite a bit of time testing this.
Open mic does work but you must set the audio to turn off the "noise cancellation" settings. That way zoom can pick up voice, instrument and room noise. Everyone else needs to mute or zoom will pick up the whomever is making noise at the expense of the performer.

 :)   :ok:

That would be cool if you'll join too @Bill from November Sound !
What time you regulary at home from work? Unfortunately this meeting will last just 40 minutes....
Myself considered it this time as  just another trial, we will see if we can step by step improve the things..... in case there is interest for that.
I already thought,  No 3 need to be at a sunday.

Yes, i already read about the problems to do a real jam together... but i won't give up that soon to this idea..... i found some advice for that while doing researches... no clear ideas yet... just  see  as I quoted a page that i found.
However, the meeting just as 'opne mic' is exiting too, my 2 cents ;)

Thank you for mention this @Bill from November Sound
That brings me to another point..... as I would need  someone who help me a bit.

Unfortunately nobody offered it so far but i need someon  for a small task while we doing the meeting and i beeing busy with the  zoom settings first time.
If anyone would be that kind please write a PM. Thank you!!  :D

Sorry that I caused confusion. I am in Bedoin (France) and moving. Shared connections are very slow and a serious threat for all kinds of things you don’t want to happen. I use a Mifi, a dedicated hotspot system and Surfshark. The use of Surfshark betters the performance of the connection, as I can be virtually everywhere. So my Mifi connection is relayed to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris in short the city I choose. And I can ask Surfshark to find the quickest and most stable connection.

I have to move up north today for coved reasons. This is where situations contradict:
For my health, a sparsely populated area is better.
For the connection, a densely populated area is better.

From the garden, I can see the mont ventoux. As this area is code orange since yesterday, my guess is that there’s a big question mark behind the Tour de France.

I’ll try and be with you all the 7th.

Kind regards, Gus

Thats a pitty you can't make it @Dutchbeat .....
Maybe we will only be a small group then, should we still let it happen though @Vince, @Bill from November Sound  @oorlab, @LePlongeur ?
If you want we can just  test the settings and talk a bout further meetings and possibilities for that or drop it to another date. I'm fine with anything.
Just let me know.
