...ving (for Dutchbeat)

Hello everybody, it has been a really long time since I visited this place, I'm sorry,  I've been very busy living life and working etc etc..
I logged on last week and had a read of the posts and found out about Dutchbeat!! I can't believe it 😢it's so upsetting, Henk was regularly in touch with me for quite a few years and we often chatted about the formula one racing. I hope his family are well.

In tribute to him I have ditched the acoustic guitar and have taught myself how to use GarageBand on my iPad. I have created something totally out of my comfort zone and more akin to the kind of thing Dutch beat used to do. I have even made a video along the same lines.

The song is called ...ving because it is the suffix used in every word in the song and explains the very short circle of our lives from arriving to leaving and grieving.

I hope you like it, and I hope you are all well and are staying healthy and happy.

Lovely calming strings arrangement. Intruiging 'biological' video. I don't know wthat your normal comfort Zone is, songwise, but this sure eases the spirit and brings a feeling of togetherness.

yes - we miss DB - a lot. His family is well.

Hello @habiTat,

It has been such a long time since we last talked. Perhaps, it has been 9 years. It is fantastic to say hi to an old friend.

I really enjoyed the gentle calming nature of your composition. Inventive and thoughtful. Another lovely tribute to Henk.

By the way, Andy @Kafla is here and I am sure he will be happy to learn that you are too.

Best wishes to you my friend.

Thanks @oorlab for the reference to this thread!

Hey @habiTat , Andy,

You have no idea how much I love everything that's shared in memory of our beloved DB. Especially by members who really knew him/have known him and all his interaction with members all over this place. I know you've been here when the kichen started, so welcome back!

Seems you got inspired (despite the reason why is so sad), to get your creativity flowing. I can feel you 'knew' DB by listening and viewing the vid with the lyrical words showing when they are to be heard in the audio. Haha, and well, I don't know your 'comfort zone' but this 'out of your comfort zone' track sounds great to me...

Thank you so much for sharing!
Love, cheers and peace,
Mar T.

I'm proud of this track, check it out! https://soundcloud.com/martimedia/dreams
