A new old song (fingertips)

Itís been a while since I uploaded here

This is a re recording of an old song of mine under my new moniker, Monmoi.

I got to the party and there was nobody I knew
I walked over freezing my hands were so cold they turned blue
So I blurred out their faces and walked back towards Waterloo
I look up at streetlights and thats when I think to call you

There's only fingertips
There's only fingertips
There's only fingertips
Between me and you

I'm searching for courage I'm searching through all this dismay
As I count my options I wonder if you'll let me stay
I can't seem desperate but that's always hard to downplay
Will this really happen? Will I settle for this cliche?

There's only fingertips
There's only fingertips
There's only fingertips
Between me and you

As I board the train I think maybe it's right I go home
I'll sit down with Ernest and drink an old fashioned alone
But that doesn't feel right seems like my courage has grown
I call, it rings twice, and that's when you answer the phone

Iíll be more active on here now, I respect everyoneís opinions. Havenít been on here for a while, no excuses, should be more active in all your great music.

Nice track. It reminds me a bit of what Iron & Wine does, both in its steady easy-going pacing and the vocal.
Pleudoniem: composer; bass guitarist; guitarist; singer; drummer; tap-guitarist - o, and yes... erm- a bit of keys. Open for collabs.

Came back for another listen.
Last time I heard fingertips this prominent, was 1963 I believe. Letís hope you donít have to wait about 60 for it to be successful.
Only joking of course.

I had to get used to the mix. Itís so different from my world that one spin was not enough. Iíve heard that once is never enough, but it fits this mix like a glove.
Loved your music in the past, and still love it now.
Keep them coming? Yes please.
Kind regards, Gus

Hi @lauder  Fantastic track. I like everything going on in it at the various levels.
I think as a story it was a good way to end it but for my own musical selfishness I would have loved to have heard another chorus to close.
You can't go back. You can't stand still. If the thunder don't get you. The lightning will.
