A while ago I posted in the lyric section about some lyrics I'd written against a track that a guy called Clive Hawkins has done on SoundCloud.

I'm please to say I've been working hard on this track and it's certainly grown in the recording to explore various vocal possibilities. I've added no instrumental bits, only vocal elements but I've tried to be creative over the six minutes of the track.

I created a harmony stack including bass, two baritone, tenor and two Alto parts for the "One World, One Tribe" chant and it features "Mrs Bouzouki" doing the Alto parts. It's the first time she has been on one of my pieces of music. She is a natural harmoniser so I get the feeling it won't be the last.

I also included a Vox line from my new vocal VST library "Voices of Gaia" and this track features 'Strawberry' aka 'Linda Strawberry Coloma' on this track.

it has turned into something quite special for me. I think I've poured quite a bit of myself into it vocally and I think it's comes across in the track.

After The Bomb - Lyrics - Clive Hawkins Track (P Goodrich 22/01/2018)

One World, One Tribe
One Fate, One Life
Two Sides, Too Late
Just What Have We Done

Dead Streets, Dead Lives
Dead Seas, Dark Skies
We've Gone, Too Far
Ohhhh We've Lost It All

(C)
And The People Cried As One
With The Firing Of The Gun
Too Late For Second Thoughts
Too Late For All Of Us

No Race, No Faith,
No News, No Lies
Past Ways, Past Lives
They're Over and Done

Dark Days, Dark Times
Dark Deeds, Dark Minds
No Hope, All Gone
We've Nowhere To Run

C)
And The People Cried As One
With The Firing Of The Gun
Too Late For Second Thoughts
Too Late For All Of Us

(quiet section)

No Rest, No Sleep
No Love, Just Hate
Dull Hearts, Dead Minds
The Future Itís Gone

One World, One Tribe
One Fate, One Life
Two Sides, Too Late
Oh What Have We Done

(C)
And The People Cried As One
With The Firing Of The Gun
Too Late For Second Thoughts
Too Late For All Of Us

One World, One Tribe
(Ad Lib)
Weíve Nowhere To Run
Final Whispered After The Bomb ... After The Bomb

I like where you are going with this MrB. I also like your fearless singing.

Very nice arrangement - Like the groove, the space, and especially BVs toward the end. The 'one tribe' hook and write is strong. Congrats.  This is definitely one you should be proud of. -Mark

So @MrBouzouki , you are not entering this into the Extremely Positive Song contest then?  ;)  ;D

Moody piece indeed, like a slow motion apocalypse soundscape.

I like that harmony work and all that mapping out obviously paid off. Clever stuff!
If you like novels with a musical theme, why not try 'Sixth Beatle - When Music Changed The World', easily found on Amazon and Google. It is amazing, although as the author I may be biased!

This is an epic track @MrBouzouki - really cool sound and there's a lot of emotion in the vocals.

It's a long song but it didn't feel like it when listening. The music has an almost hypnotic feel and the vocals, especially when the BVs kick in work really well.

Very impressive!

cheers

I have been listen twice now, and I think exactly this raw epic sound makes it very special.
It reminds me a bit of Pink Floyd .
I especially love the vocals , fearless and close to the listener.
Good piece of Music, already...
I like it a lot!

Cheers folks :-)

Quite excited as it's all mastered now, just waiting for the green light from Clive.

Here is my little wife as part of the isolated harmony stack and eerie vocal.
It's her first foray into recording and I'm really proud of her.

Well it's on SoundCloud now - I've updated the top post with the new link :-)

Wow @MrBouzouki , congratulations on this marvelous work! The choirs coming in after 4 minutes are spectacular! Some really cool vocal effects throughout. So dark but so awesome.
