@Bill from November Sound was so kind to let me brutally remix one of the great songs from November Sound

https://soundcloud.com/dutchbeat-1/solar-dance-first-mix-from-a-song-from-november-love

I hope you can give feedback on this WIP mix, on what can stay and what should go, and it probably it is TOO loud again (comments on that too, please), and anything that comes to mind, i hope to get this into a more final mix in a few days  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Very quick listen @Dutchbeat and the drums are too loud (especially the cymbals) and the vocals need to be far more out front, at the moment it feels like they're drowning in electrosoup.  :o ;)

I like it.....it's a very cool send-up of November Sound.

I agree with @Jim although I did not hear those imbalances throughout the piece.......I can only listen on computer speakers until a bit later.I'm sure you'll work it out.

This might be a good place to try ducking the instrumental track under the vocal track with a side-chained compressor....if you are into that sort of trickery. Send all the instruments to a bus and compress them (carefully) with a compressor that is keyed by the vocal track. Sometimes that's all it takes to get the vocals riding perfectly above the music.

thanks @Jim and @Leonard Scaper , i agree that the cymbals are too loud (i have the tendency to put things much too loud). I will look into that, and also i agree the vocals should be more upfront in some parts....
i ran out of time yesterday, because i had to go to sleep .....(don't you hate that?), so i rendered it where i was, but thanks for the comments already posted....(keep them coming  ::thumb:: ::thumb:: ::thumb::)

i also thinking of rearranging perhaps which parts come when...(if that is ok with @Bill from November Sound  and the November Sound band)
not sure

Potentially a very catchy dance tune, but the vocals needs to come out more I think. The mix is a little messy just for now, lacking clarity, but of course lots of expected energy in there. You just need to decide which elements you need to strip back because every track can't be Spartacus!  ;D

Decent song though and promising work in progress!
If you like novels with a musical theme, why not try 'Sixth Beatle - When Music Changed The World', easily found on Amazon and Google. It is amazing, although as the author I may be biased!

I'm letting @Dutchbeat do whatever he wants to it.  :)

However, I'd like to mention that Will ( he listens to a lot of EDM  btw) suggests getting it to build more all the way through to the end. He says it goes up in energy then comes back down multiple times...... maybe you could keep it more sparse with just voice, dance beat and light keys at the start and then keep adding parts and building all the way to "sparticus " (like @MichaelA  said) at the end.

That might solve the issues that people are mentioning....?

Anyway, I think it is really cool. Thanks for working on this @Dutchbeat  ::thumb::

Yes! I already had a sneak peak yesterday, I love it! Nice track @Bill from November Sound !!
And I love what you did with it @Dutchbeat ! I can hear that rocking guitars a bit better, gives it all a bit more bite imo.
I love both versions, always interesting to hear different interpretations of the same source material..
Well done!
