Delicious Grace - Queen Of England
on: May 15, 2019, 20:47:26
Hi everybody. We've got a new demo out. Hope you guys like it. It's called ''Queen Of England''.

=================

This song was based on a film called ĎíKing Charles IIIíí. It seemed an interesting subject to write about.

I would like to clarify this is not a political statement. I've lived in England for a period of my life and have nothing to complain about. Itís just a fun song based on a fictional situation.

Lyrics: Queen Of England

Youíre sitting there all day long
Donít know where else that youíd belong
If you want something just shout it out
Thatís how evetything works around

Itís hard to believe this is real
Have you ever asked how people feel?
This situation needs a change
Is intervention in the game?

chorus:
My Queen of England what happened to you?
I miss the sunshine, havenít you?
My Queen of England what happened to you?
I miss the sunshine but donít miss you

Stupid things sometimes we say
Though your opinion got some weight
You should line up everyoneís agenda
And it would be a soft surrender

chorus:
My Queen of England what happened to you?
I miss the sunshine, havenít you?
My Queen of England what happened to you?
I miss the sunshine but donít miss you

final part:
My Queen of England what happened to you?
I miss the sunshine, havenít you?
My Queen of England what happened to you?
I miss that time... Tell me about you...

Very cool indy kind of sound here. Sounds great!

Hi @alcapone_dudu

Funny thoughts, funny idea, funny lyrics to describe that idea. The sound is typically that of an era that reminds me of many things.
I did not know that to live I had to die so many times

@alcapone_dudu I think that this music could belong to those irreverent styles of English Pop Rock.
It is the perfect music to listen to it in a certain type of musical Pubs and contra-cultural environment, etc ...
Very good work
Congratulations

Hi Mora.  Thanks for giving it a try.

I wonder what things this song reminds you of...

Thanks, Marcus. I liked your observation.  Never thought of that.

I don't want to make a big deal of it but sometimes it's good to use humor to talk about certain things.

Big echoey sound your band have going  @alcapone_dudu    ( -  sounds like a live recording?), which suits the song.
Spoofing the royals was almost a requirement for  the  Brit. comedy shows I enjoyed growing up in the 60`s there... nice to be reminded of that humour.

Thanks for giving it a try, Robert.

It's not a live recording. It's a homemade thing recorded individually.

Hi @alcapone_dudu

I like the sound and feel of this. To me it has a 60s garage band sound - is that what you intended?

It really suits the song.

How did you record this? Interested to know how you got that vocal sound.

cheers

Jurgen

Hi Jurgen. Thanks for giving a try. I'm glad you liked.

Well, the vocals were recorded through a guitar amp and then I added some reverb to it. I wasn't looking for a specifc sound. It just ''happened'' this way. I put more effort in the song itself and the lyrics.
