Edge Of A Shadow

Just finished a new song "Edge Of A Shadow". Originally the melody and the lyrics were created for a danish song but we were asked if possible to create an international version.  Yes we are back (where we belong) in the world inspired by progressive/symphonic Rock and especially our version of the sound from Gilmore & Waters and the early 70ties.

We are looking forward to have your constructive feedback
Regards from Rysoe&Joergensen

1st Verse:
On the edge of a shadow
In the light that fades away
we hear a song from a sparrow
when the ferryman starts to play
He arrived without an invitation
and he will leave without a note
one by one he will check the tickets
when we enter his black-painted boat

Be prepared and watch the time
don’t be late and clear your mind
find a shelter for the perfect storm
and catch your dream before
it's dead and gone

Life is an important gift from the Earth
we carry with us
all the way from birth
to the end of the day
when the sun burns out
the wind sweeps through the dust so far
and we get reborn and light up as a star.

2nd Verse:
We can see our kids
while they grow and they shine
they are ready to leave now
yes so perfect and fine
They will carry our worries
but they will manage and cope
just like us before them
with some flowers
some love and some hope

time will show
time will show them the way

I know very little about Danish music, I’m afraid. @Krysoe

We had the Swedanes, museum worthy, I know, but I still have 2LP’s made by them.
Ben Webster spend some time there and recorded with Savage Rose (do I hear 1969 or so?).
I have one LP by S.R. Their debut I believe.

Plus my Dear French friend Magali Michaud, who moed from Amsterdam to Denemarken a couple of years ago. With her ‘small’ and beautiful bilingual French/English songs.

So Denmark has been a rather closed circuit where their music is concerned.
If you can brake that spell, please do. Who knows what gems we’re missing.

If you are not convinced you can pull that off, why not stay in the Kitchen? No knutjes or anything, just having a good time.
Yes, I would definitely be in favor of that.
Kind regards, Gus

Hola @Krysoe

Nice song, sound, production. ::thumb::
I liked very much the lyrics, very descriptive, even poetic.

Stay safe.

I did not know that to live I had to die so many times
