This one is just a rough demo.  ;)

Fade To Grey
https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14041088

Follow me down this path of tears
And watch me as I fade to grey
Take me in your arms
And I'll face my fears today
Is it any wonder that for all these years
I've been washing my cares away

Take a look around and ask me if I
Still know the way back home
If I didn't make a sound
The song would still be clear
Everything I've found's been hard to come by
And most of that is now long gone

I feel so clear
I have seen the angels
So real and so near

But there'll be so many changes

You have followed me around for all these years
Now watch me as I fade away
Take me in your arms
And it will all be clear
Is it any wonder after all these years
That I would finally fade to grey

Well @Leonard Scaper  … there are many things I could say about this track.  ;)  But, I won't.

It sounds great. Great idea for a song, really.

" I have seen the Angels. So real. So near."  Powerful stuff my friend.

I also particularly like the way you keep this one going rhythmically with that 8th note drive.

Good show!

Wel, maybe you won’t @Bill from November Sound , but I will. On my mother in law’s birthday, I am torn between two emotions.
On one side, I am grateful that she was my mother in law for some 41 years. And grateful that (at long last) @Leonard Scaper  posted a truly wonderful demo. Nothing rough about that.
On the other side I am a bit pissed, because I loved my mother in law dearly. And also because, think of all the beautiful demos we missed simply because @Leonard Scaper enjoyed his holidays.

And to celebrate your return, you’ll get three mails from the management urging you not to answer the mails. But you’ll get no more further notice until you opened all three. (Is untill with only one l?) anyhow, that is how we retaliate.
Welcome back, @Leonard Scaper !!!
Kind regards, Gus

Do you have to be slightly nuts to write posts like this one? No, but it surely helps.....

I like the mood this song delivers. There's a whisper quality to your vocal which is soothing to the listener and compliments the guitar melody. Can I ask what the songs about?

My only suggestion is some of the vocals lose there way in parts, like you are searching for the note. Its a small thing, only happens a couple of times but its as if you haven't quite worked out the melody of some of the vocals parts yet. The vocals are 90% perfect, but I noticed it in a couple of spots.

Overall though really nice work. Keep it up!

@Bill from November Sound @LePlongeur @Polestar

Thanks for listening. The song is about......a transition.  ;)

@Polestar ...you're right about the search for lyrics. I wrote them after I recorded the instruments. Wrote them last night in about 15 minutes....pretty much as I was tracking them. It was an interesting writing exercise. Thanks for your comments.

@LePlongeur ....it is good to miss someone that you loved that much.

@Bill from November Sound .......  :)

Leonard,
You you get me in a very special mood after having listened to this song. Really enjoyed it. And even more while I was continuing listening to your songs. Love is gonna find, Save your last dream for me and more. Do I have to explain my mood. It's all very special you write, compose and sing.
Go on @Leonard Scaper, write me an otherone .

Love it! Your songs always invoke a feeling of being there with the song if that makes sense, a rare talent

Well structured song
Beautiful too.
It could be produced in many ways.
I hope I one day achieve the peace of mind to write this way.

I had more to say about the song but the following song.
Love is gonna find you
Devoured all my thoughts.
What Marvelous songs you have!

Well @Leonard Scaper , grey is often synonymous as a lack of something, especially when associated with fading, becoming less.
But that idea can be turned on its head and thought of as becoming more, by being part of the bigger picture, part of the whole.
