What is folie?.. A friend with a strange name

I think this song has a very different style tfrom most of my creations... Yeepaaaa!!

I already feel the storm
that divides me
I already feel the storm
that divides me
multiplying me
in a thousand drafts
of mine
in a thousand drafts
of mine

Necessary characters
to survive
the hecatombe
to survive
the hecatombe

I am lost in my inside
there is no door nor window
to scape from the remaining time

from so close up
everything seems terrible

from so close up
everything seems terrible

Folie folie folie folie

Friend
with a strange name
that makes me free from my reason

folie folie folie folie

I listen to my heart
I listen to my dreams
I listen to my voice
I listen to my laughter
et voila
c'est la folie
et voila
c'est la folie

Folie, folie, folie
I did not know that to live I had to die so many times

A more playful, uptempo side of you @Mora Amaro La Loba , yes, but still recognizable in the insistent beat and mysterious lyrics.
I don`t think I`ll be the only listener who has to look up "hecatomb"
I heard a hint of Talking Heads in the danceable rhythm and repetition of phrases while enjoying another amazing video... love that flotilla of little paper boats ::thumb:: ::thumb::

Good one @Mora Amaro La Loba . I really like the upbeat presentation.

You never cease to amaze me with the depths of your lyrics and the incredible visuals in your productions. That boat on the ocean at the end is SO COOL!!!!

Great mix, btw....vocals are wonderful....just right.

Great song Mora. You've got a very unique approach to music. And your voice... it fits so well.

Let me ask you something, how do you start writing most of your songs? I mean, do you use a guitar, piano or any other instrument?

Love it, and the viuals too.
And yes,  I admit to having looked up hecatomb too.
And I leave it up to my imagination to puzzle out the meaning.
Nice one @Mora Amaro La Loba !!!
One that will nudge me through the weekend.
Thanks.
Kind regards, Gus

Thank you @alcapone_dudu   (I wonder the story behind that nick)

Many times I compose the lyrics inspired by what I play on the piano, depending on the sounds... Other times I start the lyrics first and sometimes the rain also inspires me as well as listening someone whistling down the street.

But what can I tell you that you don't know, everything is there, it must be a matter of the moment, of one moment.

Hecatombe in Spanish, it's very similar to the English word but this time I preferred to use the Spanish concept with a mix of accents.... hahaha

Thank you very much @LePlongeur

Hi @Mora Amaro La Loba - this is great.

The tempo and beat are very infectious and I agree with @robertkc it has a Talking Heads vibe to it.

I also had to look up hecatomb - not a word I think I've ever come across before!

Video is excellent as well.

You have such a unique style and sound and that's rare with so much music being produced these days.

cheers

@Mora Amaro La Loba  - great - fine dencebeat. I specially like the sound of the solo instrument (guitar / synth?) that comes in after 2.10 m.
