Thank you!!! Hecatombe signifies disaster, enormous disaster, boom, ploffff,  in Spanish and in French. It is a word born from Greek although its original meaning was a massive sacrifice. Actually in Spain, and I think all over the world, the hecatombe happens every day!!!
