I remember
on: October 12, 2019, 22:02:33
Been a while, my third EP that dropped yesterday (check Spotify, Apple Music or whatever rocks your boat incl Bandcamp) took a lot of time to complete.

But I just managed to complete this, seems I'm getting softer by the hour,my rocker image is going down the drain :-(

Zedd (as always) gave valuable lyrics support.

I don't know
if there's a way out of here?
I can’t take another minute,
Never mind another year

I miss the simple things,
Your touch and your kiss
But you’ve thrown away the love we had
And I can’t go on like this

With heavy heart I dread the only
future I can see
Where I leave you behind
For what you did to me

I remember nights of passion
Fights that would never end
The line between your joy and tears
I could never comprehend
I should stay - I promised you
For better or for worse
What started as a blessing
You turned into a curse

We both know
that there's no way out of here
we've thrown away what was precious
all the things that we hold dear

The trust we built
Is shattered and is gone
I forgave you once too often
I've been hurting far too long

With heavy heart I dread the only
future I can see
Where I leave you behind
For what you did to me

I remember nights of passion
Fights that would never end
The line between your joy and tears
I could never comprehend
I should stay - I promised you
For better or for worse
What started as a blessing
You turned into a curse

Remember when
We stood as one
You leaned on me
And I wrapped you in my arms
The words we whispered
late at night
left truths unspoken

I remember nights of passion
Fights that would never end
The line between your joy and tears
I could never comprehend
I should stay - I promised you
For better or for worse
What started as a blessing
You turned into a curse
Let man's petty nations tear themselves apart
My land's only borders lie around my heart

I like this side of you @Jambrains .....and there's plenty of your rocker side in this one with that excellent chorus. I definitely can hear @Zedd 's influence in the lyrics.

As I listened I kept wanting to hear a bit more presence in the vocals, especially as compared to the piano. Maybe just a .3 dB general gain boost or even just something up in the top end for more sparkle.

Great song @Jambrains  …. excellent lyrics and I'm especially impressed by the seamless transitions into that chorus. Well done with that musical arrangement …. making it all happen.
Good show!

A little but unexpected from you @Jambrains but it works and it does still have some of your trademark sound, especially in the chorus.

Great lyrics and also melody.

The production also sounds really good.

Your voice sounds really smooth as well. You have a good voice for this type of song, restrained until the chorus kicks in but still conveys emotion.

cheers
