I'm Here
on: March 15, 2021, 18:22:03
This one is for my friend, Dutchbeat. Hey, DB....I hear they have some seriously good gear up there. Bet you can make a heavenly remix from this one.

I'm Here
https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14214674

Out on the horizon
The geese are on the wing
I guess they know it's time to come home
I can hear their cries
And the feelings that they bring
Used to make me wonder if it was time to go

But now I'm here
In the rising sun
Yes I'm here
I'm here
And a change has come

INSTRUMENTAL

Where I have been
Is telling me
That where I am going
I don't need to know
All of my sins
Are now fading in this warm spring rain

I've been here all winter
And I'll be here all spring
Even though I'm bound to roam
And when the days get longer
And the night birds begin to sing
I'll still be the one to drive you home

I'm here
My race has been run
And I'll be here
When the day is done

I may not be a sinner
But I know I'm not a saint
Who will be the first to throw that stone
I'll make you a real nice dinner
Just as soon as I close this gate.
Sure enough feels good to be back home

'Cause I'm here
Yes I'm here
I'm here
Yes I am

Cool song that pays tribute to your friend Dutchbeat.

Well done @Leonard Scaper for somehow bringing some light into a dark situation by way of your lovely song. DB would have loved this one, with the reflective yet largely warming lyrics and your signature one man sound machine in emotive action.

The harp bits are very sweet and the intricate guitar really moves the whole thing along.

Your voice is almost choir like at the end in that final chorus, so melodic and soulful.

A fine tribute Lenny...and that must have been difficult to do. But as a ‘natural’ musician it was probably in your own nature to do it,  this golden egg of a song was bound to be laid.  :ok:

Very moving.

Yes, I bet this one has done him good. By accident I typed ‘done hum good’.
It’s a very hummable song. That much is true.
All done in this inimitable style.
Kudos well earned.

Kind regards, Gus

This is absolutely beautiful and the feeling of universal love for another precious human being is so genuine and deep but simple...just how it should be.

A very well-written and composed song @Leonard Scaper .  Lyrics are well written and your feelings are expressed with emotion. The selection of instruments for the is super. Only one little thing - I would have loved a few intro chords to get me as a listener prepared and ready to receive your first-line lyrics.
the craftsmanship is of very high class - Thanks

Klaus

@monty_lameer ........thank you so much for those kind words.

@Krysoe .....thanks for that appreciation. I agree with your comment about the intro. I did set the song up the way it is but as I was mixing your observation started sneaking up on me. By that time it was too late for a retro-fit on the intro. Thanks for the critical listen.
