Iím a bit confused, @Dutchbeat, and you will certainly be so kind to tell me which is what.
Is is an instrumental or am I listening to the backing of a future master piece?
Thank you very much for helping out!
Kind regards, Gus

@Dutchbeat  - tight production! The first few seconds reminds me of the leader of a television programme - the BBC News theme -
 ... but then it takes a new route alltogether. Fun sounding short popcorn-like sounds.

Thumbs up imho  ::thumb:: :pompom:

Hi @Dutchbeat ! Nice!
It is jumpy and happy and hoppy with the slightest tinge of carnival atmosphere along with that "Euro" dance beat thing you do so well.
So, if that is what you are going for, then carry on.  ;) Certainly if there were a frog in my salad I would go with a darker more menacing feel Ö to me that would be more of a horror story.  ::)  :o
If one can have a frog in the salad and be good humored about such a travesty then your track is right on!   ;D

Hi @Dutchbeat

How nice! I really like it, such a lively funny melody and very good production so far! :ok: :)
I read it is a collab may you tell what was your parts of both creating this instrumental?

Hola @Dutchbeat
Maybe I would enhance with a crescendo that explodes or throws you at the appearance of the marimba part and the bass drum?
Otherwise the instrumentation is very good, when the voices are already you will see what you have to increase or decrease in volume.

Buen 2020!!!

Hi @Dutchbeat ,

What a fun, lively and colourful track!! :) :) I love the 'bouncy' sounds! :D :D. I agree with @Bill from November Sound - it did remind me of carnival themes too ...I'm curious to see how the lyrics will come about! :)

As a staunch BBC listener and watcher I noticed the same as @oorlab did and on top of that the many more precursers. Is this breaking news? No, but it's really nice and well done. I would leave it as it is because singing lyrics with a mouthful of popcorn sounds awkward. And for all ye lowland speakers...

Nu kwam er eens een schotelvol groen eten
Te voorschijn, die Kok Aagt spinazie had geheten:
Hiervan kreeg kleine Piet zijn deel op 't bord gesmakt;

Note for the English reader: Mother Aagt lets get burnt anything she cooks...

Now came a dish full of green food
that for Cook Aagt for spinach stood:
Of this, Pete got his share smacked on the plate;
He's stirring in it: He finds two hind legs
From the poor frog, under the short minced bait ,
And puts, with eyes half closed,
his fork down while he begs:

"Has burnt feet too, Mother Aagt?"
If you dig it, do it. If you dig it a lot, do it twice (Jim Croce).

thanks...@ all

i took this small portion out of @Charlie 's quote, because that popcorn sound is what the singing melody and lyrics are supposed to sound like
that is the plan  ;D ;D

i totally agree that having both the popcorn and the singing line at the same time  is not going to work

but, i may put it back in there...to cover our bad singing  :yes: :yes: 8) 8) :yes: :yes:

we are....struggling, you know  :P
