Laws of Anti-Gravity
on: March 03, 2019, 06:36:55
Holy hell this was fun to make.

Blaring lights and rustling papers
Footsteps down the hall knock with a tempered echo
High heels have a habit of harassing me
The short, sharp shock of female electricity

She's a walking onomatopoeia
CRASH BANG BOOM in to the room
Rumbling down she she shakes the ground.
The pots and pans and clanking clutter
Slip through fingers moist with butter
Tender, but he loves her cute cacophony.
Snickering with teardrops when they laugh at me.

(Electric violin solo)

Hypnotized by specters in the mirror world
They stand and stare and secretly dissect themselves.
Anatomically correct mirage!
Homeschooled in self-sabotage
Stronger than the typical blue bat you see.
Stranger to the laws of anti-gravity.

Naturally, I'm not surprised by contradicting alibis.
The only sense exists in inconsistencies.
Optical illusions side by side are continuity.
I slice and merge the cells and call them Saturday.

Fun to make? And you did it well too. @Rewboat
A long strange trip, as The Grateful Dead used to call it.

It brings back the 1967 days of first and careful experiments with music and ehm... high heels.
I really believe that there is a market for this kind of music.
Kid regards, Gus

Hi @Rewboat this is some seriously cool secret spy agent lounge flow infused with some your unique Andrew Frankel brilliance.

Beyond that I'm frankly impressed that you could use the word "onomatopeoia" in your lyrics.

I like your style.

Good Show!

Hi @Rewboat
It has been a sound show, a mixture of instruments that were almost cacafonia, like hers. Great description through the word onomatopoeia
I have to hear it again, there's a lot of music in there, maybe it gets tangled sometimes ...

I really liked the first part of your lyrics, (before violin solo)
it perfectly describes a complete scene through those written sounds

You have done a very special, different and contemporary fusion work. Good head.
I will comment again after listening again
I did not know that to live I had to die so many times

ah........wow! What a cool tune! Love how it builds and rolls and LOVE that violin!

I like how you sing that "laws of anti-gravity" line....you almost go lounge singer on us.  ;)

And the lyrics? .........he loves her cute cacophony.....yeah.

So I just listened to three song back to back by @Rightly @Mora Amaro La Loba and this one by @Rewboat . Does it GET more eclectic than this?

I love this place.

Thanks for posting this one Rewboat...you never fail to come up with something that goes in some amazing new direction.

@Leonard Scaper-- thanks! I've been a violinist for most of my life, and it was always a struggle to find a way to make that 'cool.' The solo was a long time coming.

@Mora Amaro La Loba and @Bill from November Sound --a 'show' is exactly what I wanted this to be. I've written in the past with the intention of making  a song a dream or a ride, and I'm glad this came across accurately. I'm always testing to see what messages get effectively communicated.

@Dutchbeat - what happened was a low point and an opportunity to say some things I've wanted to say (albeit cryptically) glad you enjoyed it though!
