Legends Never Die
on: October 15, 2019, 21:11:46
Hey guys, long time!! Member me?

I've been working for a long time on some new material. The song I would like a review of, is for "Legends Never Die". I touch on a few things, but its mostly about all these young rap stars passing way to young, in the wake of the opiate epidemic. You can also check out my new album (which isn't finished yet btw) if you're feeling nice lol :)

Cheers and much love all my fellow songwriters/musicians

Welcome back @TheGainsExperiment  - thanks for sharing. This sounds fine, in a folk-punk way. Lyrics clear.
I'd somehow try to get smoe chord change around 2.18 - at the "Oh yeah, oh yeah, I doubt it" - that could enhance the attention-arc.
Looking forward reading your posts, and learning how you go about writing these tunes.

It's raw and edgy and real.

I like it.

Hello @TheGainsExperiment  .... thanks for posting this! I'm very intrigued by the concept of an acoustic-ish, angry-ish,  punk song about rappers .... I mean that's pretty unique I'd say.  :)
I'm kind of curious about what @realkevm would think about this.
So ... me .... I don't know if I've listened to much of your music before this ..... your regular listeners might get the vibes better. I really like it until about 3:00 ... at that point it gets too repetitive. .... again this might be fine for your regular followers.  :-\
If you want advice I'd say shorten it or change it up by 3:00 to keep the energy up. If It's a done deal already then ... good show!
And welcome back!  :)
