@robertkc Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I love King Crimson. I saw them in Amsterdam this Summer, I went together with @oorlab . Quite an experience, that was :)

Hi @Pleudoniem
Another piece of you! You always have the touch of a kind of ideas very unusual and I like this a lot. Funny tale, heavy SF tale and very nice song.

When I have problems with the volume of certain instruments I use to correct the equalizer, it changes the level.
I did not know that to live I had to die so many times

@Mora Amaro La Loba Yes, normally that works. The problem was that the midi was a bit too loud in some places. When you use an equaliser, then the entire track goes down in a particular frequency range. It changes the sound itself, but it needed to go down in particular places for particular notes. The reason is that it was recorded a couple of years back, and with VSTs that had a different volume setting. So, I needed to reduce some of the notes manually.

But you are right that sometimes equalisers can do very good work.

Also, normally, I can reduce a single track by reducing its volume. I am not sure why reducing one made another one dominate it this time. I think it is ok now, but I am open to criticism if you still hear any unbalance.

hi @Pleudoniem

only just hearing this one - I took a week or so off the internet (as much as I could anyway) so catching up with the Kitchen now...

I like this song - very creative as usual and some interesting interactions between the instruments and vocals.

I've listened on headphones and also on my mac speakers and vocals sound good as does lead guitar. For me the bass disappears at times against the drums - maybe they''re sharing the same frequencies?

The distorted vocals sound great and work really well.

You have a real feel and knack for progressive rock.

cheers

@Jurgen I agree on the bass sound. I tried to get that fixed, but I played the bass some time ago, and I don't remember the settings of the amp anymore. I think the sound is a little too mushy, and today I would use a setting to make it stand out a bit more.
