This sounds great! good tone and balance on the recording. This is a very good song as well.....well structured and well performed. Those 3 long years were well spent it seems.

I'd love to hear about your instruments, you know...what you like playing and such. You should consider starting a thread in the "Me" section to let us know how you go about things.

If you post your lyrics when you post your songs it will help folks connect with the song even better.

Hey @Macker71165  I really like your style! I'm a big fan of The Fray … also like the Script, etc. so I dig this emotionally driven indie rock kind of sound. Sounds like you're on the right track! Nice work.

Hi @Macker71165
If you say Macker with a short a as in father, you hear ‘makker’, which means friend in Amsterdam dialect.
Plus that you seem keen on the John Lennon Epiphone.
Can’t think of a much better introduction.

I like your music a lot, so if this sound is anything to go by, keep them coming.
I am one of the non native speakers, so I agree with @Bill from November Sound’s question to publish the lyrics as well. I think that the lyrics are important too.

Welcome in a kitchen with as diverse music as you can imagine.
Kind regards, Gus

Welcome to the Kitchen  @Macker71165 - a great track to introduce yourself with IMHO.

Great Vox and I'm liking the straight verse chords follows by the looser chorus.
The use of the acoustic is good too as it fills in the gaps and adds a nice electric / acoustic vibe .
The solo is perfect for the song, - just enough to add interest.

Good having another strings guy on here :-)

As others have said... adding the lyrics to the post is good as it helps some of our non-Engllish natives despite may of them being v. good with a foreign language.

I hope you stick around and we here more from you. Feel free to chime in on others efforts and other posts. It can get quite addictive when you realise that people all over the world have the same compulsion as you ;-)

Welcome to the club @Macker71165  - Tony.
Your song sounds very good. All is sounding top - guitars, drums, bass - very balanced.
You might make the vocal more singular. Was it double tracked? Hearing hints of Tom Petty,ad a wee bit of Echo  & the Bunnymen in the sound...
just my first thoughts.
Good luck!

Hi @Macker71165

Good work, good voice, good base, and good song. It's a pity that I could not understand all the lyrics, my knowledge of English is limited, but I liked the general of your production,
maybe in the strong part I would have liked the voice to have another brightness...
Very good your... first song?

More than  a bit of a indie vibe going on and it sounds great to my ear.  I look forward to hearing more.

@Macker71165 Haha! The irony was that I became curious about that green guitar that was showing in the list on SoundCloud   :D  When I clicked it, I saw that quite a number of people from the Songwriter's Kitchen had already been there. I'd call that a warm welcome :) So, all the more reason to give your song a listen, and I must say that I quite enjoyed it. It's a nice and catchy tune. Welcome!  :)
