New Song - Movies

So this is my second newest track out at the moment,
it's inspired by 80's style, but for a modern audience,
using lots of synths to fill out the sound.

It was recently played on BBC introducing which was amazing,
and I'd appreciate all feedback to help keep producing.

Nice full sound with an infectious beat and some pretty hooky synth sounds. The tuned vocals definitely give the song character.

cool buildup @JedLong  - fine mix too. BBC6 introducing is a great program for new music! keep at it. I like the vocoder effect in this track - but for variety sake I'd use it sparsely, not on every track you put out. Any chance of putting out the lyrics?

@oorlab Thank you for the feedback! I use auto tune on my lead vocal and then harmonise it the second vocal track no vocoder, I have just got in to the habit of doing it and I should mix it up when making new songs.

It's very dreamy and full of interest. Lots of control over the light and shade, and an original atmosphere created.

Well done on the BBC6 outing, hope there's more to come!

hi @JedLong, sounds good...i loved the very laid back intro, and the 80's synth and drum computer handclapp and beat sound

and how you then make the sound full and warm then

i perhaps wouldn't drop back that far after that chorus...all the way back to the handclaps

but then again, that makes the next full part work perfect again

@Dutchbeat  thank you, appreciate it! And yeah I see what you mean, hard to balance coming out of the chorus, but I’ll try and do it differently next time to see how it sounds 

Good work for getting on BBC Introducing. I love songs like this (80's throwback). Sound a little like The 1975 which is a huge compliment. I'm not too keen on the vocals if i'm honest, a bit too robotic/washed in effects and high pitched for my ears but the music is quality.

@realkevm thanks! really appreciate it, definitely similar to their style, glad you enjoyed it. and yeah not everyones taste i know with my vocals, I need to invest in mics, this is all recorded straight through the laptop, hopefully the quality of vocals will improve. I can't help myself adding effects haha just love using them!
