New Song - New mood - Slowly
on: October 21, 2019, 16:27:56
Hey  all,

I've been working on trying to establish a new mood while trying to stay true to myself.   If you're feeling bored and have a couple minutes to listen.  If its something you like i published a 5 songs in this vein.  feedback welcome.

sound: https://soundcloud.com/aesthetique/slowly?in=aesthetique/sets/firefly

words:

Settle in, waters lovely
The birds they sing so sweetly
Dew points low/sun is shining
Always stay zig-zagging

I donít know where Iím going
I donít know where to go, love
(ugh)

Settle in, waters lovely
The futureís never or eternity
I can blink and you remain with me
A vision framed exquisitely

A small parcel of your mind
A Morse metallic ting
A small parcel of my mind
Two tin cans on a string

Whenever you need me, Iíll be here

What a cool and unique mood you are setting with this piece. I would definitely listen to the EP.

Hola,

Beautiful song, wonderful lyrics, wonderful ... With an instrumental but strategic simplicity that gives relief to the voice while saying exquisite words for the images they portray.

I loved this :

"A small parcel of your mind
A morse metallic ting
A small parcel of my mind
Two tin cans on a string"

Congratulations @thewinefestival

hi @thewinefestival - this is great.

It has a hypnotic feel and the distorted vocals really drew me in.

The beat is almost too slow but it works and is part of why it has that hypnotic feel I think.

Agreeing with @Dutchbeat re the outtro...

cheers

Almost like a relief when you start singing.
You juggle my moods from one to the next.
Very cleverly done!
Kind regards, Gus

Love the lyrics on this. Has a very even keel kind of feel to it. No extreme ups or downs in the mood. As if the person is stuck in a kind of melancholy state. I think the slower  beat  contributes to this sentiment.  If this was the mood you wanted, then you have it down!  I think I'm just accustomed to more variation in my listening habits :) I think maybe a break somewhere would invite interest. The electronic vocals effects didn't break it up enough for me.  The ending was just too long in my opinion.
Nice singing voice and effects on the voice.
