The lyrics have a style that I like and I have tasted and reread calmly, envisioning the images. I have not found any word that was not adjusted to the story and that is wealth.
It has been a great pleasure to read it.

Thank you for your kind words about the music @Mora Amaro La Loba , but for me this song is all about @DonMar 's amazing lyrics.  That is what has been behind my foolish "X"-ness in her thread. These lyrics hold up wonderfully on their own....even in the light of the challenges of this Challenge.  ;)
"The main thing is to have a gutsy approach....but use your head." Julia Child

"In a world of robotic conformity, the only originality left in music is the imperfections" Eric Craptone

"Special thanks to Steve Gleason for making me who I am today." Leonard Scaper

A dictionary! A kingdom (or at least a horse) for a dictionary!!  ;D ;D ;D
Just kidding, got most of it actually.
Quality stuff all the way from lyrics/writing to performance and production.
Yummy guitars, me like!
Well done, both of you!
Let man's petty nations tear themselves apart
My land's only borders lie around my heart

Finally the "X-factor" is revealed.

::headphone:: Now that's a hard to beat lyrics for this challenge @DonMar , and a very inventive one as such. That certainly puts some pressure on the rest of us...   ;D

I dunno which artist has made more songs, the great Bob or the great @Leonard Scaper and who cares, as long as the songs are of this quality.

This is a "sway along arms-connected" type of song, like the arranging and especially the stops that adds to this feel of sing-along arm in arm, and the melody is very catchy - I've only listened once and the melody from the chorus stuck (...and I forget easily...might be age-related ;-) ) ...think that says it.

Great collab by the both of you  ::trumpet::  :praise:

Hi @DonMar  and @Leonard Scaper ,

Excellent collaboration  ::thumb:: ::thumb:: ::thumb::

Really enjoyed the wordplay, the feast of syllable sounds. And you really caught the stumbling hesitations of the journey towards... something, Mr. X.

Bravisimo! To both of you.

Later,

Like your songs better than your lyrics alone.
Sounds nice for a woman, the singing I mean.
I had to look up 'epiphany' though.....

But of course I love the lyrics too. But the songs as a whole epiphanies it all.
Simplicity is far more difficult than we think. @Leonard Scaper @DonMar

Kind regards, to you and your alter ego, Gus

Brooding under a willow tree
Where solitude and sorrow
Are cellar doors
That beckon to me

I like that @DonMar  and the way @Leonard Scaper    MrX  brings a kind of husky nonchalance to the serious tone of the lyrics.
Cool production - the electric guitar coming in feels just right and the timing ( syncopated 3/4?) is  original.
A magic collaboration

Robert

@Roberto Cianchetta @Goatrelated @Jurgen @man of simple pleasures ........thanks to all of you for checking this one out. I don't work often with lyrics from others so working with @DonMar was both a challenge and a treat for Collaborateur "X".

This thread is crazy!  :o
Okay . I'm just going to say cool song. Nice job @DonMar & @Leonard Scaper !
That "one epiphany short of enlightenment.." line . whew . well let's just say -
you can't sing that three times fast in a row
so you all had to keep the tempo slow.
Good show!  :)
