Nice @Leonard Scaper    so what are you stringing Stella with? Medium gauge?

I've had to reduce to a light gauge string  in my old age. I string my Gibson Parlor with Martin strings, but my '32 Clifford I use Medium but tune down 1 whole step.

Hey @Vince . Yes Stella is strung with mediums gauge phosphorus bronze Martins. I put a new set on before doing this recording and just played them enough to get them stable.

Is your Clifford a Paragon archtop?

If you want to try something really interesting try a set of silk and steels. I had a set on my '33 Kalamazoo KG-11 and it was an amazing sound. They are very light and don't last long but what a sound!

Hi @Leonard Scaper

Really nice to hear one of your songs again.

You did a really good with this one - with the lyrics and message it could easily become schmaltzy but it didn't. Part of that is your voice which adds gravitas to the song and also the Stella - what a great sound.

cheers

Jurgen

Chuckling about schmaltzy, @Jurgen . That word has been used in the past to describe my writing. In fact, I have a cassette recording from 1978 where I was playng a house party with a very good acoustic guitarist. We had just finished a spirited rendition of Loggins and Messina's "Your Mama Don't Dance" and I decided it was time for a couple of originals.

I said...."Maybe a little schmaltz". He said..."You're going to put it on pause, right?" I, of course, kept the tape rolling.  ;)

I still have that cassette but I'm afraid to run it.......I think it would self destruct after all these years.

I love the sentiment of this. It's a message that needs to be embraced.

Excellent sound and production.

This is soooo beautiful Steve ( @Leonard Scaper ) and Stella.. Sounds all so beautifully in harmony.
Yes my friend, 'our' world.. Most important part of life imo.. Have an 'our world', creating new pieces of that world together, breathe..
At this specific moment in time this resonated with me a lot.. Tears in my eyes.
Keep creating and building together..

Yes it is @Leonard Scaper , I know.. And it all depends on the interpretation of the 'package' at a specific moment in time. This was exactly the right moment for me and you and Stella did a perfect job.. I feel the Love.. And 'Love' is what it's all about isn't it?
Cheers my friend..

@Mar T. .......my music  often comes unbidden from within where it is born from emotional traces that have been left behind by life experiences. Love is definitely one of the strongest of those emotions.

@LePlongeur .....I deeply appreciate your support, Gus.
