These are the first four songs Ive pretty much ever written down and recorded. Some are better recordings than others Im still getting the hang of logic. Anyways, let me know what you think and what I could improve on. I know my voice sucks haha but Im practicing (not really sure how to get better at singing).

Hey @Dbren603 , welcome to the kitchen! I listened to 'Dreams' (haha, because I have a song with the same title on my SC profile)..
Always difficult to provide suggestions about how to improve. That depends on your goals I guess  ;) ;)
I like your guitar playing style and your voice, nice timbre. Maybe a bit 'shy' so that creates room for expirimenting with singing dynamics (soft, loud, screaming etc).
From what I hear there's some room for a better 'production' should that be one of your goals.
I'd like to invite you to introduce yourself in the 'Me' section of the forum and tell us a bit more about who you are, where you live, what your musical background is, and of course about your goals.. In that way we can give you more focussed feedback.
This is a nice place, beautiful, creative, talented and funny people all around. Have fun!
Cheers!

First shot at this? I am seriously impressed.

Listening to "Already" now. I love that guitar sound and playing. I'd like to know more about the kind of guitar and how you recorded it.

You have a very cool style. It is unique and you can take that to the bank, imo.

"Easy To Rise Now" and I still think you have something special going on. Your vocals sound great for a scratch recording. If you get serious about recording you could have some serious fun. If you get into a real studio with some production guidance...all bets are off.

"Down Here" now....very contemporary style. Did I mentioned that I am seriously impressed?

"Dreams" now....what I like is that you have a specific style. Music's not the place to fake it.

Welcome to The Kitchen.

Seriously thank you soooooooo much for all the feedback, it feels so amazing to get just get some honest opinions. For the recording I used my martin acoustic guitar which is the best I have in terms of equipment. I have a very cheap audio interface thing I can plug my guitar into and Im singing into my apple headphones which I know sucks haha but I cant afford a microphone at this point. and pretty I use garageband and logic but mostly garageband because its a lot easier than logic. I would love some tips on mastering tracks and making it sound professional.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for all the feedback guys. Ive only joined today but I love this community, theres some really talented people here.

I love hearing that. It ABSOLUTELY proves that point that a good song that is performed with feeling will always trump good gear.

Don't worry about mastering.....that comes much later. You are good.....get yourself some decent gear and record exactly what you just did and more. Then learn mixing basics....this is the place for that. Just dive down this rabbit hole and get ready for an amazing trip.  ;D

Welcome @Dbren603  ;D

That's a good sound you got going on there...very Ed Sheeran, which is no bad thing!  :D

If you've got phantom power on your AV input then you can pick up an OK condenser for less than 30 bucks:

https://www.amazon.com/Neewer-Professional-Broadcasting-Microphone-Adjustable/dp/B00XOXRTX6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1506077161&sr=8-3&keywords=neewer+condenser

If you haven't then it might work out more expensive...probably the best option is to pick up a new AV:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000J5UEGQ?tag=viglink_thaus-21 <-- there are plenty more to choose from

It's still money that you might not be able to afford but I wanted to make the point that you don't need to pay a fortune for OK stuff.  ;)

Welcome aboard. As others have said there is loads of quite diverse and talented members in the Kitchen.

It sounds like you've got a head full of tunes and that's worth more than all the fancy gear in the world. I like your quite percussive playing.

For some reason your stuff reminds me of a particular favourite of my lads Get Cape Wear Cape Fly

Keep on making music - it's good for the world ;-)

Hey yo @Dbren603 - nice lyrics man, and great guitar playing! In regards to your voice - I can hear you have what it takes! ,and I am sure you have heard it too - at least in your head or even those times while having a shower . I just listened to all of your songs and I really like them, but I can hear that maybe you are shy. So! What I can suggest is from personal experience and a mix of previous advice I'v received, and it involves trying to change your mindset:

You need to make the music for you, no one else, don't think of what people will be hearing when you deliver your lyrics, you need to sing to you. Then while singing to your self, you need to be honest with what you say right? - so the key is to believe every word you are saying as your highest held truth ;)

Let me know how you go, I am still trying to master this jedi mind trick.
