Salamanders through the sky
on: December 30, 2018, 18:27:25
« Last Edit: January 15, 2019, 17:02:25 by Marcus Nalgaber »
I created this simple song with lyrics, thinking about this forum.
I did not know where to start and suddenly I ended up being inspired by my own childhood from a point of view that was perhaps too tragic, but that was my intention at that moment and I do not want to question it.
The lyrics of the song later pass to some insubstantial or psychedelic phrases that could also have a meaning related to that strange boy  :yawnee: and his adolescence
This is the first song I write after many years without doing it.

Salamanders through the sky

Remembering that child
Who traveled the world
Discovering the reasons
That made him so

Surrounded by bad character
He got carried away
Oh, he was just struggling
to exist

Everything was breaking through
Behind those walls
Everything was breaking through ...

Salamanders through the sky
Satellites in the bathroom
Salamanders through the sky …

---------------------------------

Salamandras por el cielo

Recordando a ese niño
Que viajaba por el mundo
Descubriendo los motivos
Que le hicieron ser así

Rodeado de mal caracter
Se dejaba llevar
Ay solo estaba luchando por existir

Todo se abria paso
Tras aquellos muros
Todo se abria paso...

Salamandras por el cielo
Satélites en el baño
Salamandras por el cielo…
Simplicity is something that is never lost if one is not ashamed of it.

Very moody and atmospheric, I like the vibe you have created. Your vocals sit really nicely into the backing track.

The only thing I would question was the repetition of the drum loop, which makes it look like the drum track was just an afterthought - although it is very hypnotic.

Overall, it's a very moody piece and I enjoyed it a lot!  ::thumb::
If you like novels with a musical theme, why not try 'Sixth Beatle - When Music Changed The World', easily found on Amazon and Google. It is amazing, although as the author I may be biased!

I REALLY like this. Wonderful to hear your voice in here and it fits perfectly....including the creative autotune which fits the music just right. Really emotive guitar work as well. I love how you use your voice as an instrument.

I am thoroughly enjoying this listen. The drums don't bother me at all as they sit back and push the groove nicely. That's your style, it seems.

Thanks for posting this.

@Marcus Nalgaber - As soon as the groove kicked in and hearing your guitar in the intro I was already hooked. The drums work fine for me, they are incidental  to the track to be honest. Just a backdrop.

I would love to hear the autotuned sections without the effect. You have a rich timbre to your voice and it would be nice to hear it without the effect.

It's nice to hear non English songs on here.  Different languages have a different feel and it's nice to just concentrate on the rise and fall and not the meaning of the words.

Good Work
