Im Looking Backwards.

Im looking backwards
and I can see
what was my pathway
now is a faint trace

Today Im here
so tired and dissatisfied
I find only ashes
of the fire of my lighthouse

Everything is behind me
Everywhere is close to me
Everything is behind me
Everywhere is close to me

Im looking backwards
and I can see
my own ghost
remembering this future

Now from this death
I don't find my light
only a distant flame shines

Everything is behind me
Everywhere is close to me
Everything is behind me
Everywhere is close to me

Very nicely put together.  Solid guitar and bass work. Beautiful ethereal vocal. The second vocal part is really cool!  I've got nothing really to critique on the music end.  I suppose I would consider trying out an extra simple piano, string or reed part, but I tend to over-produce things so consider that with a grain of salt. My only nit. The ending is a bit abrupt - it's OK to have a non-traditional ending, but I just think you could come up with better.

I like the interplay between the guitar and the bass although I might have pulled a bit more low energy out of the bass.

I also like the simplicity of the arrangement in this one. You are letting that acoustic guitar and those amazing vocals carry the song in a very traditional way that really works for me.

Gorgeous track guys :) I had to go back for a couple of listens. ::thumb:: It feels so fragile to me, and yet so solid ::heart::
The vocals are totally captivating, as is the lovely interplay between the bass and guitar   ::trumpet:: I love the gentle sweetness of this track ::Suzy::

A nice simple arrangement @BLACK MIRROR, it works well just as it is.

I agree with @M57 as regards the ending. Perhaps simply repeating the intro guitar pattern at the end on after the vocals finish at the end to 'book-end' the piece would be nice ?

Good Job

The vocals are beautiful, I like how they are quite restrained.  The whole track has a calming and relaxing vibe about it, and as it doesn't deviate much it is just the right length.  Nice work  ::thumb::

Such a sweet song! Loved it. It somehow reminded me a little of Edie Brickell.
