I really like your style. Your voice is infectious and the way you construct your songs draws the listener along perfectly. I like how your presentation is so nice and innocent and even a little bubbly while there is always something slightly grittier to be gleaned from your lyrics.

I love the secondary vocals in this one.
"The main thing is to have a gutsy approach....but use your head." Julia Child

"In a world of robotic conformity, the only originality left in music is the imperfections" Eric Craptone

"Special thanks to Steve Gleason for making me who I am today." Leonard Scaper

I don’t know if you’ve ever read an article about who’s the happiest in the world.
I believe that the danish come in first, and the Dutch second.

Today I started coaching a Japanese lady of 19 years. And if you ask someone from Japan to rate how happy he or she is, they will grant themselves a 6 or 6.5 on a scale of 10.

They are probably not less happy than the Dutch. But there’s a cultural thing. The Dutch rate their happiness, and the Japanese rate the amount of room they grant themselves to improve the happiness they already have.

Therefor I happen think (in short) that number 2 is a great number. There’s still room for improvement, but once you reach #1, the only way is struggle to keep that position.
Number 2 is as beautiful as the song.
Great but too short for perfection.
Did I tell you I like it, imperfections and all?
Kind regards, Gus

I like your deceptively sweet voice ( as @Leonard Scaper  put it there`s something else under the surface), and style.
Can you post the lyrics- I got most of them but there are a few almost whispers I`m guessing at.
Refreshing & melodic  - I enjoyed this

Enjoyed, fine guitar playing and mix too. The song poem seems a bit sad because of 'staying inside' but once the song goes to the outside it feels  be better. Putting it to music gives hope.

I like this @harriettornqvist .

It's good to get a chance to do something different when you aren't studying.

I love the alternative vocals (you could call it weather etc) as other have said,  but I'm not sure about the doubled tracked Vox all through the first verse. I reckon you could mix it up a bit by having some lines doubled, like  colourful drugs' and some not and see how it sounds. THe doubled Vox would highlight certain phrases or elements perhaps ?

I still like your Fine Wine track by the way. It's one of those songs that gets under your skin in a good way. Short and sweet but I hope you extend it one day.

Your song is as particular and personal as your voice. Are you ok?

Hi, and I'm back.
Too short a song to enjoy fully the first time around. So I came back for a second feast for my ears.
Kind regards, Gus

@harriettornqvist

I perfectly understand your terms ‘uni break’ and ‘work/study’….A good thing about the whole situation is that at times it sparks a good piece of songwriting – as is evident in this case....

I really enjoyed listening to your song! :)  …I love the tone of your voice – it melds beautifully with the melody and the music accompaniment. You manage to set such a delicate ambiance which captures the listener in your own world. I also like your contemporary edge. Thanks for sharing :)

I guess I’m a new fan of your songs! :)

Keep on writing!
Karma!

Better the second listen- there`s lots behind that small word we all use - like a first line of defence.
Really enjoy your vocals on this @harriettornqvist
