New song in early production stages. I streamed it to make it easy to find! https://soundcloud.com/user-316169253/sunrise-rough

Guitar, tomtom, shakers, vocals.

Love some thoughts! Peace!

Pretty good start I think. You have definitely established a style....kind of ethereal and spacey but with a strong sense of forward motion. I really like how you build the song and how you use  layered vocals....and vocalizations.....to create this very unique atmosphere.

The percussion really works.

I see what you were trying to do with that quiet intro but it doesn't quite work yet (for me) as it is just too quiet. I think you need to work it out so we can hear you build from that quiet place....you definitely want to capture our interest from the start.

Consider posting your lyrics as they are now and as you develop them further. We like lyrics.  :)

Thanks for setting the song up for streaming.

Hi @A Conscious Universe

I like this - has a loose feel that has a jam feeling to it. So many songs are (for me) too perfect in that everything fits, timing is spot on and if not careful, the feeling and emotion can be stripped out.

I agree with @Leonard Scaper that the quiet bits are way too quiet. I thought it was an empty track at the start and had to turn my volume to max just to hear the beginning, and then turn it down when the song got going. I nearly moved onto another  song to listen to but I'm glad I didn't.

cheers

Thanks kindly for listening and responding! Totally agree that the beginning is too quiet, that will be corrected in production. Cutting out some of it to get to the true beginning.

So glad you stuck it out and listened! Thank you for your feedback. Totally with you on style. I like true organic music, nothing overly produced or manufactured. Perfectly imperfect is the way to live!

@A Conscious Universe  - interesting setup. I like the tomtom, and also the moment the shaker comes into play. At around 2.10 you could try some chord change. The atmosphere reminds me of Galexico...
Good luck with the production.

I like it   somehow I think that even an orchestra would fit in very well (sorry I'm a bit obssessed with orchestras )
But seriously your song in an epic orchestra setup would be fucking epic  :o the more I listen to it the more this idea gains strength.

Anyway, awesome song  ;D I really like it
