i always seem to attract situations that sadden/damage me, yet find ways to make it seem alright

@harriettornqvist The first comment that springs to mind is sweeeeet! :) Trust me, the song is a good thing. True, they are very basic chords patterns, but your voice gives a lot of power to it.  I am not sure what makes you so insecure, really.

It's a funny idea to use those vocal tone pitches at the end of the song. They work quite well though. I know this can be done with Celemony. Is that how you did it?

Might it be an idea to post the lyrics as well? Most of us do this already, but I don't see yours. They might be interesting for a closer look.

Very good @harriettornqvist  - agreed with @Pleudoniem .
Vocals are very interesting and up to snuff. Liking the deep Aha.
At the beginning, the track seems to jump in there ... and the guitar might need a tiny bit of tuning.
The title could be also : Salt to make it Sweet - to make it more peculiar to your style.
But  all in all - a brilliant peice of music

What a great hook line! Another good tune from you. It does start a bit abruptly but I LOVE how you end it hanging on the "t" of sweet like that.

I really like the little vocal thing you threw in there at around 1:50.

This is sooo good! The lyrics are very cool! “I take the salt and make it sweet” is a GREAT punch line...so yeah...kudos for that. You sing beautifully and then I just love all the little touches/tricks in the production. The auto tune on the word “sweet” is just a great, creative mix decision. Well done mate! I loved it.😄🎶👊🏻🎶
