Ladies and Gents, anuvver one for your dancing and dining pleasure.
Bit of a pretentious title but it is accurate.
Now 'ere's a tip; it's possible to listen to my stuff and not have a clue what's going on, but if you take the title with you, it will hold your hand and guide you safely.
I write from a title. I think of a title with possibilities and then try to play that title in music, yeah?
The guitars play off of one another but don't play to any accepted scales, while three characters tell you a story.

Teenage Delinquents With Cubist Guitars

The News Reporter
Johnny and his gang broke into the Music Shop, they broke into the Art Gallery.
They was wild kids outta control. They took art, they took instruments
and in the back of that Subaru they mixed it up, man
till no one knew what that thing was called.
Was it art? was it music?
No man, it was something else.

The Mayor

What is this damn filth?
Commissioner we gotta put a stop to this abomination
before the world we know fractures
and all manner of subhuman scum creep up out of the cracks.
Put out an APB.

The Gang
Go man go!  They ran, but they left seriously weird shit all over town, man.

The Gang
Johnny you are crazy, man. This is the wildest shit we ever robbed dude,
even Picasso never stole stuff like this, man.
Johnny smashed the rules man, took a blade to your art and music.
Certain people didnt like it.
You don't mess with art and music, and get away with it.
The establishment wanted him artistically dead,
the critics wanted him creatively bankrupt.

Ok......so this is some seriously weird.......yeah.

Actually this is excellent musical theater. Perhaps you won't like that description.

This time Van Vliet and His Magic Band meet Firesign Theater.

Love the cubist guitars........what are accepted scales anyway?

Seriously weird shit alright @eric craptone ..

It was definitely different and interesting.. my 11-year old daughter asked for a listen.. She said "Interesting...." and scratched her chin a little.

I enjoyed it - I like the "write from a title" method you use... Title often comes last for me...

Welcome to the forum ;D

This piece is a film, and the base of guitars and rhythm encompasses it perfectly describing the atmospheres of each moment and participant.
It's a brave, funny, unusual job ...
I've had a lot of fun

@eric craptone  Prepared from past experience, I turned the volume down and took a tylenol c`os those guitars leave claw marks in my brain  ::e-guitar3::...and thus prepared I found this fun,and yeah, brave as @Mora Amaro La Loba  said.
I liked the characters` voices - are they all you?

Bozo's meets Zappa meets Beefheart.

I like this piece of anarchic mangling.

Welcome to the Kitchen @eric craptone - there is room for everybody in here.

Ohhh and I've always been a Jeff Beck or Pagey fan myself. Clapton never did it for me. ;-)

 Fanks mates for the listens.

@Leonard Scaper. "Theatre" is fine wiv me Leonard. As you say, this is like a play unfolding, and the music is the scenery and the film score in one. Yeah the cubist guitars were a conscious effort to play in a geometric style, playing interlocking shapes more than scales. No one else really understood it though.
@Introverse77 : You ask what genre is it?  It hasnt got a genre yet, because I'm the only one playing it at the moment :D and it will probably stay that way.
@Zedd.   It's good you found it interesting. I believe that is the first stage before liking something, and becoming a massive fan of it. So your conversion may be imminent.  ;)
@Dutchbeat.  Yeah weird is my favourite word too, so we agree.
@Mora Amaro La Loba.  I'm pleased you saw the extra dimensions in this, and saw it as more than a piece of  odd music. Yeah I like "brave", thanks for that.
@robertkc . Aw man you had to take painkillers. Let me be the first to admit this is dangerous music, and ideally people shouldn't listen to it.
I know this aint your sort of music so I appreciate you listening mate.
@MrBouzouki . 'Ere  whaddya mean guitar mangling? This is a serious piece of art!  ;D
No mate I'm alright with that description. And of course you're right about old Eric Clapton. Jimmy was the best.

So mates I won't be posting any more songs. This forum is far too musically conventional for the experimental stuff that I want to do. I knew it was a gamble, but I do find it sad that a jolly tune and some twee lyrics is still prized above everything else in music. But there you go.
In my two weeks here, I've reviewed songs by 23 different people, but only 11 could be arsed to return the favour. That sends a clear message to me.

Don't think that way, man.....that's actually a pretty good review ratio. Heck, I've reviewed just about every song that's been posted for the last year or so and sometimes I only get a few reviews on my stuff. Quality over quantity, right?

Your reviews, btw, have been exceptional....to the point with real constructive crit and some humour mixed in to boot.

I'm hoping that you stick around.

@eric craptone   Hope you change your mind,  I think there are a few listeners like me who just listen and don't peer review, but when you post you get a listen. There is so much out there the forum is an avenue to point people to what your up to.

As for your music, I must say I'm only just now getting use to and appreciating Captain Beefheart's "Trout Mask Replica"   there are a few video's on the YouTube about it and playing it. I don't know if I have another 40 years in me, but I do appreciate someone breaking the boundaries musically by doing something other than cussing and shaking their boobs and rear end.

As they use to say in the olden days "keep the faith"

Vince

Maaan!! that's trippy, I love the tempo tho, and the performance on click the usage of "old radio" FX or sample, whatever you did is on point, theatrical and trippy. ::e-guitar3::

+ 1 from me.

I think youíll find your review count is higher than many - which means the unconventional is actually trumping the conventional....  which is quite a feat and testimont to your interesting and intriguing style... youíre in a place that doesnít enforce reviewing which can, I agree, be disconcerting but Iíve enjoyed both your music and your reviews so hopefully you stick around...
