That Day In Paris
on: October 07, 2020, 15:16:59
« Last Edit: October 14, 2020, 11:03:01 by Krysoe »
In Parallel with the busy time to write for the 6/8 waltz challenge in September , John William and me have continued our colleboration on the "That Day In Paris" project.
Now we have finished the composition writing process and the recording. For the first time we have tried to combine it with a video production.
As always we are looking forward to get your constructive feedback

Thanks a million for all of the constructive feedback. We have yesterday created a new and improved release  on SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/klaus-rysoe/that-day-in-paris

Nice song, nice visuals.
And I'm glad you didn't join the challenge @Krysoe
The competition was very fierce as it was... At least now I made it to the 4th position.
I count on your entry the next time.
Kind regards, Gus

I adore a good instrumental  8)

Right up my street when the guitar comes in with a melody - getting very pink with that vibe there  :ok: - so loving that.

Some great touches in here - I would like to hear this live and can see the lights in the sky now!

One thing - in the early passages the snare is a little off the track - making it not as snappy as it could be - I would take a look at that - it is just a little swing thing.

As an instrumentalist - I really enjoyed this though. Well done!

@Tolo  - Hi Tony - Happy you like the Pink wibe in our latest creation. I have to admit I have been a big fan of this type of music since 1969  when I joined my first PINK painted concert in Copenhagen.

Great track:- perfect intro, beautiful melody, interesting combination of sounds, great composition and transitions and fantastic guitar at 1:53+. I loved your video too, it brought back memories of when I visited the city and compliments the song nicely :) I really enjoyed listening :)

Great job! I love this instrumental piece, especially when the guitars come.
I'm glad to see that Paris inspired you. And it's wonderful to see this kind of effective collaboration in the kitchen :)
Thank you for sharing a video as well

Lovely guitar sound and visuals brought this to life. In the spirit of constructive feedback, I would have increased the tempo a little. Maybe its just the way my brain works, but it felt it needed a bit more momentum.

You can tweak the tempo on Logic after you've finished recording and the tracks will sync up - not sure how you recorded.

Nice work and keep it going :-)

It sounds a little Pink Floydian to me, just imagine a voice like Roger Waters' on it, except possibly that PF is a little more pensive and down. I like the composition. One thing that sprang to mind when listening was that possibly you might want to emphasize the storyline by clever drum riffing to build up tension every now and then.

It is a composition well done, none the less. Like it.
